Very friendly welcome. Signage for where to park up was a little confusing. View was stunning and site clean and tidy and well maintained. Not too far to walk to town. Very quiet, so excellent night's sleep.
First stay at Galloway Point and will definitely be back. Excellent service from the word go when I had to change our dates and it was no problem. Fantastic facilities and location with a lovely cliff walk to get to and from Portpatrick.
The site was lovely and well maintained , the staff was friendly and helpful , the toilets and showers was immaculate, the only thing that would benefit the site is if an elston (chemical waste point ) was nearer to the touring caravans /motorhome that have a sea view , as it was a long walk back up to near reception to empty the toilet , the bar /restaurant across the road to the site was fab great food & nice staff .
I was very happy with the accessible shower room as I have an impairment " cerebral palsy " I use walking aids. The only things I would mention is the room could do with a small stool to sit on as it would make undressing and dressing easier as sitting on the toilet to disrobe is very difficult not all disabled people use wheelchairs, also hooks for hanging towels etc would be good and finally a mop/squeegee to help/encourage users to dry any spillage so the room is ready for next patron. The washing machine area could benefit from a detergent dispenser as on occasion you can find yourself detergentless! And it would be profitable. I really liked the range of food on offer in the bar and all staff were extremely friendly.
Lovely accommodation, spotless clean with everything you need for a short break. park is maintained to a high level. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Nice campsite. Close to Portpatrick harbour. Nice views. Short walk to castle ruins
I like that you can book a pitch with a guaranteed sea view, it makes such a difference. The facilities are modern and clean, more than enough for a pleasant stay. The site is a short walk away along the coast from Portpatrick to the north, a lovely village well worth a visit, and to the south there is a very nice walk you can take too to a beach nearby. Of course you can walk on for longer if you like/are able, in either direction.
It was immaculate. The toilet and shower block was a wee walk from where we were but not too much hassle. The stairs are a killer down to portpatrick Town. Spoke to some locals gave us a short cut. Get to the stairs turn right on to a wee walk way takes you to town without the steps. Absolutely gorgeous place. Will definitely be booking again. Annete and Jim were perfect hosts.
