The park's commitment to providing a quiet and peaceful environment for relaxation is evident in its emphasis on quality facilities. All pitches come equipped with electric hook-up points, with electricity included in the nightly tariff, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests.
A highlight of the park is its modern shower block, which features state-of-the-art facilities. We stopped over at Galloway Point Sun/Mon Very simple to book onlineQuick book in at reception and a cracking seaview pitch Shower block mice and clean/modernA nice walk into Portpatrick to visit bar/restaurants We also had a drink in the Galloway bar/restaurant across from the site which was also very good Weather wasn’t the best but never stopped us having a ball
My wife and I stayed for 3 night Portpatrick folk festival weekend. We stayed in one of the parks pods which was absolutely fantastic. The park itself was also great, (something for everyone). Would recommend this park to anyone. Great weekend.
We’ve stayed at this site a few times and have always been very impressed. My one minor bugbear is that the toilet/shower facilities are quite a walk from the tourers site but that really is a minor issue and it won’t stop us from returning.
We probably booked too late in the year to get the best from the site. On arriving it looked deserted. The restaurant was closed. Games room in darkness. Toilet block was clean but felt antiquated. Lighting to toilet block was poor. During our stay I didn’t meet another user on site apart from reception staff. Staff, I only met on arrival and leaving to pick up/drop off toilet block key. They were ok to deal with. We went into The Waterfront Hotel in Portpatrick for evening meal. Staff were nice but the meal was poor value for money. Everything we had on our plates was out a packet, so would recommend trying another venue.
We stayed there for one night in our motorhome and the pitches have fantastic views. Toilets/showers are in a central location which is fine for motorhome pitches. Top up water/waste disposal is near the reception, well arranged and easily accessible. Unlike other campsites, we were not aware if there was wi-fi (?) and if it's not available, this would be a great addition. Would stay again.
We loved our stay. We have visited Portpatrick many times but never stayed here before. We will be back though. The accommodation was really lovely- spacious, bright and really clean.
We ve stayed hete many times. We love it.The grass pitches overlook Dunskey castle and the Iirsh sea.You couldn t find a more idealic spot if you tried. The area is small ,so booking advised, epspicially weekends. If your lucky ewih the westher it's fabulous Note the hardstanding pitches are at 5he other end of the caravan site, so no sea veiws. But if you have young children they are better positioned for the amusement arcade and playground areaThe site itself is very well run by Jim and Annette, who keep it spotless., they are 3xtremely hardworking, friendly and most helpfulShowers and toilets heated a,modern and very clean.there is a large playground / park for kids and a small amusement arcade for older kids.A short ( 10 min) coastal walk takes you to the fishing harbour, a couple of well stocked grocery shops, weekend market and a few hotels, with bars and restaurants which anyone can use.All in all everything you need for a good weekend away.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, the touring grass standing could have been better laid out to allow all vans a better view. The electric hook ups are quite far spread, take a long cable. Only one water point, and a fair walk to toilet/shower block, I had a look and they were lovely , and spotless clean, too far for me to use though, (I opted to use my vans facilities). Coastal walk to Port Patrick is lovely, I had a great weekend weather wise. Also took a drive to mull of Galloway lighthouse, beautiful countryside.Reception staff and maintenance staff were lovely and helpful.
We were very satisfied. Big pitch near the ruin of the castle. Perfect.
Been coming here for 14 years and never been disappointed lovely staff views are stunning
