Excellent campsite and touring pitches have great views out past Dunskey Castle towards Northern Ireland. Only downside was that toilet block is a bit of a walk from the pitches. There are some closer which are more sheltered but dont have the views. Wasnt an issue as only staying one night and stopped by toilet block on way out. Nice coastal walk into town where there are a few bars etc.
Good level pitch with expansive sea view but a long way back to the facility block so we used our own. Within 100 yds of Dunskey Castle, a photographicaly beautiful ruin. Walk along the clifftop to Portpatrick for lunch and plenty of photo opportunities around the harbour. A couple of groceries to top up supplies. A recommended site.
Had a lovely weekend at Galloway point , great views toilets spotless, good location 10 minutes walk along cliff tops to village
Holiday park was easily found and was in a beautiful location, all staff we met were helpful and friendly, toilets and showers were always clean and tidy. Site was great for dogs as a few minutes walk off site takes you to the coastal path which was great for walking them. Half mile walk along the coastal path from site in to Portpatrick where there is plenty of dog friendly places to get a drink or meal. Would definitely recommend this site if visiting this area.
The location of the caravan park was perfect for our long weekend stay! The caravan itself was lovely, very clean and a good size for a family of 4. Lovely gesture of tea, coffee, sugar and milk on arrival, which was a nice touch. Across the road was a restaurant, and Port Patrick was a short distance in the car or a lovely coastal walk. So much to do around this area and we would love to come back to explore the rest, so would book here again. Would definitely recommend the caravan park and we will definitely be back! 5*
Brilliant site always clean and tidy lovely views across to Ireland
Very well priced, amazing views and walk , great park for kids , park and facilities are spotless and very well preserved and dog friendly The staff 9ne site are amazing, polite ,friendly and always cheerful
Lovely views, modern and spotless facilities. Pitches for tourers either with sea views or closer to the toilets to suit sll. A walk along the coastal path takes you to the small town of Port Patrick. Plenty of places to eat while watching the sea and little harbour.Path to town isn't suitable for ederly or disabled. Streep climbs and uneven ground. No local taxi firm so driving neccessary if you can't manage. Site has all you need. Dishwashng area, laundry. We will certainly go back.
Our van was immaculate and spacious, plenty space for 5 of us. The kids loved the large play park and the freedom to go on their own, we could see them from the van. Great location for a coastal walk into the village, we absolutely had the best time.
We booked two nights but only stayed for one. Not the campsites fault, we just wanted to move on.The site is well kept and the staff very friendly and helpful. The warden advised us to change our booked pitch to another one and we are glad he did, the view was amazing.
