Easy booking process via telephone ( helpful when dyslexicWonderful caravan, spotlessly clean, well equipped Staff are amazing and everyone works hard to make your holiday special.Fabulous location, site offers generous caravan plots( not jammed together) no bar or social activities on site( which is perfect for us who want to enjoy the beautiful preacefull surroundings )The staff maintain site sympathetically to ensure visitors can enjoy the site whilst encouraging the natural beauty of the surroundings. Hedgerows of wild rose, honeysuckle and furns( to name a few) which in turn brings in an abundance of wildlife( this year we saw, beautiful birds incl woodpecker, bunnies, weasel/ stoat, a couple of very shy field mice and a badger. Visitors will find hidden paths, and a truly stunning beach!

Fabulous area to visit - unspoiled countryside and beaches, walking and cycling paths, sailing and kayaking, fishing, historic sites, lovely towns and villages, lots to do and see for all ages.

We have visited before and never disappointed. From arriving at reception until handing back the keys we were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff in office and out on site. Caravan ( pitch 110A) was spotlessly clean as usual and equipped with all we needed such as utensils, cookware,plates etc and a nice touch of shortbread biscuits.Park is kept immaculate by ground staff and the private beach is a bonus. Small beach 20/30 min walk away is a lovely place for a change of scenery (accessible by car as well but quite a rough track).10 mins from Gatehouse of Fleet, 20 mins from Kirkcudbright , Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie about 35 mins making Sandgreen a perfect driving distance for shopping/walks/attractions etc.Sandgreen itself doesn't have on site entertainment but that makes it special if you are looking for peace and serenity, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings.

Staff friendly and helpful. Caravan very nice and clean, pot pans cutlery tea coffee sugar even salt and pepper provided. Gas BBQ work well.Lovely big balcony. Good for boat launching. Lovely place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandgreen, the staff were fab and the caravan was very nice. The Beach was lovely and there is loads to do in the area. Do pop into Kirkcubright and get a meal from Skippers Sean Van, the best takeaway I have ever eaten, amazing crab covered chips 😋.

I had thought the pitch would be just looking at bushes but it was really private and the trees were in blossom and the bluebells and campions out so really pretty...the gate on the decking was great as we had a two year old with us so we could open the french doors and know she was safe walking round the decking...the borrow box on the beach was a good idea.

Van was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Site is spacious - vans well apart with plenty of wildlife. Parking spaces next to the van made for easy access. There was also easy access to a gorgeous, quiet sandy beach with rock pools and hills in the background. Really lovely.

Chose the location as I was doing a gravel cycling event at Gatehouse of Fleet. Feel so lucky to have found it. It was a beautiful, peaceful and well maintained site. The caravan was spotless and well equipped. The staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. All in all a fantastic trip and I will certainly visit again.

We've hired a van at Sandgreen a number of times in recent years for breaks. The site is quiet, well kept and well layed out - no regimented rows of closely packed vans here! The beach is excellent and there are great walks either up towards Gatehouse or down to Carrick Shore. Nearby Gatehouse of Fleet is a very pleasant small town with ample parking, a couple of food shops and plenty of choice of eating places - we recommend the Masonic Arms.
