Toilet block exceptionally good.Disappointment in pitch. At the time of booking I asked for, and got a grass pitch with electric and water. Two days before departure you changed this to a hard standing. I assumed that was because it had been so wet that the grass was unusable.. However within a few days grass was being used by tents (with cars) and by the end of the fortnight caravans and camper vans! Also on the second day the awning was in 2 ins of water. I was told that at our pitch that was common after heavy rain as was another (I think 19). As other pitches were available when we arrived why was I put on a known wet pitch?
Firstly this is not a known wet pitch and on the second day when you had water on the pitch, this was due to exceptionlly heavy rainfall through the night which we can,t control. When you spoke to me later that day the water was gone. When you arrived we had had a full week of rain, which made the grass very wet for putting a caravan on, and this is why I put you on a hard standing pitch. If this was a problem you should have made me aware of this and I could have done something about it at the time.By the second week we had a great spell of weather and this is why we could get caravans and camervans on the grass.Hopefully this hasn,t put you off coming back to our park.Kind Regards Mark
One week break in 2 bed caravan at Anwoth Holiday Park, booked in June just outside the main busy holiday period. Had similar breaks here in past and was happy to return. Park itself small, quiet and tidy and very handy for all of Gatehouse of Fleet's shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. It is easy access to the A75 for travelling to the many attractions in the region. The caravan itself was clean on arrival and had all the basics required for a self catering break eg fridge freezer, cooker, toaster, kettle, utensils and tv. There was decking with a table and chairs. Wi Fi had to be purchased but was quite expensive. Overall my husband and I enjoyed our break at the park and felt it was good value. We would recommend and would return.
Thank you for the kind comments.Hopefully see you again in the future.Kind Regards Mark
