Anwoth Holiday Park is situated in the charming town of Gatehouse of Fleet, with restaurants, cafes and bars and is in easy reach of the Cairnsmore of Fleet National Nature Reserve. The whole area is a haven for wildlife and for just simply enjoying the great outdoors. Whether you walk, drive, cycle or mountain-bike - there is plenty for you to do and admire.
If peace and tranquillity are for you, they can certainly be found at Anwoth. Some of the finest landscapes and scenery that have inspired Scotland’s authors and poets for centuries are on your doorstep. In fact, the whole area is a haven for wildlife. Herds of deer can be seen roaming the landscape and, if you can be very quiet, you may have the opportunity to see otters living in their natural habitat. Birds of prey, red squirrels and a host of other wildlife, are all there to be found when you explore. For the fisherman, several major rivers, including the Esk, Annan, Nith, Ken, Dee and Cree, all of them notable for salmon and trout fishing, are close at hand.
Traces of this industrial past can still be found in its buildings and street names and the Mill on the Fleet, a former textile mill which is now an award-winning visitors centre tracing the economic and social history of Gatehouse. Gatehouse provides opportunities for a variety of sporting activities, including golf, walking, cycling, fishing and sailing. Hard-standing and grass pitches with electric hook-ups. Touring facilities include showers, toilets, washing up area, waste-disposal, laundry. Much to see and do when you base yourself at Anwoth Holiday Park!
Anwoth has a launderette, washing facilities and a shower and toilet block on site. Restaurants, cafés, bars, craft shops and a convenience store are at Gatehouse of Fleet a short walk away; the town has a local bus service too.
Nightly prices are all inclusive with no extra charges for electric hook up, T.V aerial connection, water, awning, extra persons, cars, pets. Each unit needs to be on it’s own pitch (for example, you cannot have two tents on one pitch).
You can stay closer to home and use all the facilities available at our parent park Auchenlarie (just 5 miles away). There you can use all the fitness facilities; enjoy the entertainment and live shows in the Starlight Suite and sample some of the great food available at The Surfside Bistro and Takeaway.
All our hard standing pitches feature 16amp electric hook-up, water points & TV Points
At Anwoth, all touring pitches are on a large grassed area in the middle of the park.
Anwoth is within a short walking distance of the very attractive Gatehouse of Fleet town, with its restaurants and bars, deli, cafés, convenience stores and gift shops too.
Nearby is Cairnsmore of Fleet, a mountain in the Scottish Lowlands, on the edges of Galloway Forest Park. It is home to the most extensive area of open moorland in Galloway, and has been designated as a biosphere reserve.

Lovely little site in the village. Easy access to all the village has to offer. Great shower/Toilet block - very modern and clean. TV reception poor but this wasn't something that bothered us.

Absolutely loved this site. Quiet but right on the edge of Gatehouse of Fleet so handy to walk to shop, pubs etc. The washrooms were fantastic, just like having your own private en-suite. We hope to return soon.

Mark is really friendly and looks after the site on his own nothing is a problem to him.A good five minute walk into the town with a well stocked Spa shop and plenty of other shops and cafe's, good friendly pubs, good walks through the woods. All in all an excellent place.

I rebooked before leaving site and was given discount which was great so be back for opening on the first of march 24. At the bottom of the village the location is lovely and quiet, the village has some lovely places to eat and with a local spar you can’t ask for much more, as for the site warden Mark nothing is any bother to him and being helpful and friendly is clearly an asset to any caravan holiday. There are lots to do locally and would be great for families with children I’m sure. Anwoth is one of my top sites and will be there numerous times in the future, the wi-fi has been updated and the quality is excellent if anyone interested the site is clean and well cared for and a complete joy to be there.
Thank you for your kind comments.Look forward to seeing you again in March.Kind Regards Mark
