have been many times - not too touristy but has the amenities on hand.I personally feel the dark wood has had its day and could do with lightening to give a more up to date appearance

Excellent campsite, but narrow pitches (they are very long but narrow). When full you do feel very hemmed in a cramped. Luckily this seems to only be weekends as mid week its a lot quieter. The facilities are best i have seen. The are simply outstandingly spotless! The staff are very helpful.We would return but probably only mid week due to the narrow pitches.

A superb site maintained to an immaculate standard. Excellent , spotless families block constantly cleaned.The whole site is land scraped to a high stander with beautiful walks and a large, safe dog exercise area.. We loved walking along the river and around the lake. Near to an easily accessible and interesting small town with all we needed. It was good there was no entrance barrier to the site. All staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Lots of information on site for visitors. One strange feature in the facilities block was the internal arrangements.Morning routine….. toilet, leave room, remove shoes to walk into shore area, out in bare feet (verrucas.), shoes back on then back into fist room for a shave. A new system for me. An excellent holiday park and we will be returning. Regards Allan Simms

Been to Riverside many times originally with a tent and lately with our touring caravan. The journey from the M6 can be a little scary in the narrow parts but its doable. The site itself is very clean and the shower block is great. This time we were there with friends for a long weekend, we asked for specific pitches and they allocated them to us. We also decided to stay an extra couple of days due to the great wrather, they managed to do some switches so we could stay put which was a great service. Thanks to all on site for making our stay so pleaseant.

One of the cleanest and well kept ( grass mowed) sites ive been to. The toilet block was immaculate. The staff very helpful and friendly. And the pitch I was on ( A6 ) was next to the river and was so relaxing. Not tried the fishing lake yet, but that WILL be on my next visit!

From the minute we pulled up in our motorhome, we knew we had made the right choice. The young lady on reception was very knowledgeable and told us everything we needed to know.The pitch sizes were good, just a slight niggle we were up against a hedge which had grown out a lot, but we carry a pair of secateurs so we trimmed it back and everything was good.The facilities were first class, the toilets could have been in a five star hotel and the cleanliness was second to none.Accessibility to the site was good, the location was good, with pubs and a co-op 10 minutes walk away.The access to buses was not good, but there was a railway station which takes you to Morecambe one way and Leeds the other, we took it to Skipton, good service and reasonable prices.The price of a pitch was good and we will be back when we have the opportunity.

Fabulous spotless site, great grass pitch next to the river, fabulous immaculate toilet & shower block.10 minute stroll into the village either up the road, or by footpath across the railway & pretty fields (full of rabbits!). 3 village pubs (at least 1 doing lovely food), cafe, couple of shops, and a fish & chip shop, even got Chinese & Indian takeaways! Even the train station right outside to take you into Lancaster & Morecombe.Enjoyed it so much we'll be back next month! LOL
