Riverside Caravan Park is a beautifully maintained family caravan park. It offers a safe, peaceful environment in the Yorkshire countryside just walking distance from the small market town of High Bentham.
There is plenty to do here for outdoor lovers, with many different walking trails offering something for all abilities and great terrain for cycling on or off road.
Bentham Golf Course is nearby, welcoming beginners and experienced golfers, and Riverside Caravan Park customers receive a fantastic reduction on the standard green fee.
The park boasts fishing rights along the River Wenning as well as it’s own well-stocked Lake.
Our helpful staff in reception welcome you on arrival and are on hand to answer any queries. They can also point you in the right direction for days out, local attractions and current events.
An on-site warden is also available for general queries and to handle emergencies out of hours.
Next to reception is the games room, a well prepared safe indoor area for children with a good selection of arcade machines and games, pool and table tennis tables and an air hockey table.
For energetic kids to burn off steam outside, we also have an imaginatively laid out outdoor play area creatively built into the hillside.
WiFi
Park-wide wireless internet is available so you can check your emails, browse the internet and keep up with social media from the luxury of your own tourer or holiday home.

Opposite reception, this facility offers a wide selection of local information and literature including where to eat, places to visit and activities available. For the bookworms, there is also an honesty library in the information room which is available for all our customers to use.
NB – during the holiday season there is also a dedicated Tourist Information Centre situated in the Town Hall at High Bentham.
Launderette
There’s no need to worry about bringing your entire wardrobe on holiday as we offer a modern launderette on-site. Located opposite the reception, it has washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities.
Riverside Caravan Park is set beside the River Wenning, with calm relaxing stretches of water ideal for paddling and dinghies – a real treat on a hot summer day!
Reception is well equipped with fishing nets, buckets for children and river shoes for both adults and children.
Further downstream, the Wenning offers excellent fishing on our own private stretch. Daily, weekly and seasonal fishing permits are available from reception*.
We also have a fishing lake for keen enthusiasts, well stocked with a variety of carp, rudd, roach and perch.

To start, the bathroom facilities were lovely and clean, never had to wait for a toilet or shower, and the site was very busy when we went. However, the 5 minute on, 5 minute off timer on the shower is awful, and the WiFi does not work at all (perhaps is better when the site is less busy, but we couldn't even check our emails with it).The pitches are very close together, so perhaps nice if you're going in a big group, but not much for privacy if not. There also either seems to be no or a very late enforced noise curfew.Generally, if you're looking for a site to go with a big group and have a bit of a party, this definitely seems to be a nice place for it, but if you're looking for a more calm and countryside-y site, I would book elsewhere.
Great location, 10 mins walk to local pubs. Professional staff. Clean site. Great toilet and shower block. Felt safe on the site. Lovely walks from the site.
Been many times and the site is excellent and well maintained with excellent facilities!
On arrival at the site we were welcomed very friendly and helpful. We were allocated pitch C not next to the river but one away .On parking my camper two dogs started barking and proceeded to bark regularly until we left the site they were situated in D section next to the river pitch. The barking continued periodically during the evening and during the night. We left the site next morning out all day and returned 6 pm Friday to find VW camper parked in the pitch next to us friendly greetings were exchangedAt approximately 7 pm 4 young adults arrived by car to join the person in the camper van and proceeded to be quite noisy until 12pm when I requested they please stop shouting as we were trying to sleep .On leaving the site I mentioned our problems to the very helpful lady who stated I should have contacted reception to complain I didn’t realise reception was open a t 12 pm Wonderful site facilities fantastic visit spoiled be noisy inconsiderate people
Fab site! The best kept site we have been on. Lots of things to do in and around the site. The facilities are spotless and the staff can’t do enough for you.We have been before and will be returning.
Facilities were superb, clean and really well looked after. Location was perfect, pitch sizes very generous and will definitely return.
Everything was brilliant except I needed sanitary products I asked one of you reception girls if you stock them and her answer was NO WE DONT AND WALKED OUT THE RECEPTION AREA. It would be great if you did stock sanitary products or even in ladles toilets .
Toilet facilities where spotless, campsite was so quiet, which is fantastic, definitely stay again in the near future
Loved the site. Friendly, helpful staff. Ery peaceful.Facilities spotless. Plots well maintained and level. Nice walks, well stocked information center.Very handy for local town buses and railway. The only thing that would have improved it, to my mind, was a little cafe and food store on site. The town had little to offer in cafes and a couple of pubs but not much else. There is a spar, coop and a hardware shop.A lovely little cafe would be an welcome addition to the campsite and a chance to meet other campers.Apart from my own personal preference I couldn't fault the site.
