Riverside High Bentham Caravan Park, Lancashire, England

Riverside Caravan Park is a beautifully maintained family caravan park. It offers a safe, peaceful environment in the Yorkshire countryside just walking distance from the small market town of High Bentham.

There is plenty to do here for outdoor lovers, with many different walking trails offering something for all abilities and great terrain for cycling on or off road.

Bentham Golf Course is nearby, welcoming beginners and experienced golfers, and Riverside Caravan Park customers receive a fantastic reduction on the standard green fee.

The park boasts fishing rights along the River Wenning as well as it’s own well-stocked Lake.

Our helpful staff in reception welcome you on arrival and are on hand to answer any queries. They can also point you in the right direction for days out, local attractions and current events.

An on-site warden is also available for general queries and to handle emergencies out of hours.

Next to reception is the games room, a well prepared safe indoor area for children with a good selection of arcade machines and games, pool and table tennis tables and an air hockey table.

For energetic kids to burn off steam outside, we also have an imaginatively laid out outdoor play area creatively built into the hillside.

WiFi

Park-wide wireless internet is available so you can check your emails, browse the internet and keep up with social media from the luxury of your own tourer or holiday home.

Information Room & Library

Opposite reception, this facility offers a wide selection of local information and literature including where to eat, places to visit and activities available. For the bookworms, there is also an honesty library in the information room which is available for all our customers to use.

NB – during the holiday season there is also a dedicated Tourist Information Centre situated in the Town Hall at High Bentham.

Launderette

There’s no need to worry about bringing your entire wardrobe on holiday as we offer a modern launderette on-site. Located opposite the reception, it has washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities.

Riverside Caravan Park is set beside the River Wenning, with calm relaxing stretches of water ideal for paddling and dinghies – a real treat on a hot summer day!

Reception is well equipped with fishing nets, buckets for children and river shoes for both adults and children.

Further downstream, the Wenning offers excellent fishing on our own private stretch. Daily, weekly and seasonal fishing permits are available from reception*.

We also have a fishing lake for keen enthusiasts, well stocked with a variety of carp, rudd, roach and perch.

We welcome dogs and request that you keep them on a lead at all times whilst on the park. There are a number of walks close by and appropriate areas to exercise your dog in.

One well behaved dog is allowed in Parkside for which there is a small extra charge. We ask that it is not left alone in the house or allowed in the bedrooms or furniture. There is NO smoking in either of our cottages, thank you.

This was my second stay at Riverside and I was not disappointed. From my initial contact to make my booking and subsequent communications, the staff were friendly and efficient. The site is well maintained wherever you look. The touring pitches are a good size and well spaced. Whilst they look fairly level, you may need to use ramps or levellers if you want a level unit. TV reception is very poor and if you want TV you will need a good length of TV arial cable to connect to the site's TV arial point. Once connected, TV reception is very good.Toilet facilities, showers etc are excellent, well maintained, well serviced and exceptionally clean. The facilities for clean water are conveniently spread around the touring site. The chemical waste disposal point is easily accessed and has good hand washing facilities in the disposal area. I think the facility would benefit from a short hose pipe being fitted to the tap to make cleaning of the toilet cassettes easier.

Lovely site! Had 2 nights here and really enjoyed it. Great facilities which are also spotlessly clean...the river running through the site provides great walks.Train station 10 mins walk taking you to Skipton/Leeds or Lancaster/Morecambe Already planning to return mid summer...

We hired both cottages for a family and friends weekend with children. Exceptionally clean and modern. All bedrooms were big and spacious. We walked into High Bentham village for local parks, bars and shops. We drove 10minutes to Ingleborough nature walk and caves. We have stayed here before in 2020 and drove 15minutes to White Scar caves. Both accessible for children. Communication with staff was excellent from start to finish. We all had an amazing break and would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Thankyou for a wonderful stay. 5* from us
