Rhosson Ganol caravan and camping site is run by David Griffiths and his wife Kate and David's father Henry. David and Kate have three children, Elin, Lili and Ioan.
The Griffiths family have farmed Rhosson Ganol since 1882 when David's Great Grandfather John Griffiths took on the tenancy at the age of 24 after working on Ramsey Island. David's Grand Parents Ivor and Ivy Griffiths bought the two farms Rhosson Isaf and Rhosson Ganol in 1936/1948 and opened up a field for camping in 1951.
David's Father Henry got planning permission for the static caravan site in 1961. Rhosson Ganol is a working farm and has a suckler beef herd of Limousin and Hereford cattle.
We have 40 grass pitches for touring caravans, camper vans and tents.
We have 20 electric hookups (10 amp) which require early booking to avoid disappointment. These pitches also include your own drinking water supply (two night minimum stay on these pitches).
We have free wifi, and a chemical disposal point on site.
We are open from Easter to October half term.
A superb location for caravan holidays in Pembrokeshire
We are a small, quiet, family oriented site, so we don't take bookings from large youth groups. We also ask for your arrival before 8pm. We don't allow camp fires but are happy with BBQ's. We are a dog friendly campsite in Pembrokeshire, but require dogs to be under control at all times.
Pitches with electric hookups (10 amp). These pitches also include your own drinking water supply.

Great site overlooking Ramsey Sound. Peaceful and good access to St Davids. Nice mix of international and UK visitors.Need ramps as slightly sloping field. Toilets were cleaned daily but did need a mid-season deep clean (floors, beams etc).
We’ve been coming to Rhoson Ganol Campsite for years and years, the modernisation over recent years is excellent (although I miss watching the sun set through the shower window!!) there is no better campsite in my opinion. The approach is relaxed, the views are extraordinary and the area is wonderful… I’ve never grown tired of it in 40 years. The site is ideally located with whitesands and St David’s a short cycle away, coast path on your doorstep and lovely little beaches in walking distance. This is a simple campsite but a wonderful one.
Nice location and remote from the overcooked and overfull towns of St Davids and Solva. Bonus to have the local bus running every 30 mins passing the main gate to campsite. Drive in was rough and rocky and great care needed to avoid damaging undercarriage of van. Great for walks and nature. Shower block and toilets a long way from field but this is stated in their booking site. Slept well.
We had a lovely stay here, very self service didn’t see any workers for the 48 hrs we were there. Campsite was a small field with a lovely view of the ocean. Only reason we wouldn’t visit again is due to the long walk to the toilets.
We had an amazing stay at Rhosson Ganol campsite. The location is brilliant and the facilities are great. We had a lovely peaceful stay and still thinking about the fantastic view!
Gorgeous campsite sat overlooking the sea and Ramsey Island. Views are absolutely stunning. Campsite well kept. Showers and toilets are a bit of a walk across the road, we were ok with this as our van has a toilet but would of been a bit annoying if we had to make that journey every time we needed the loo! But saying that the views location were well worth that walk! Took advantage of the little bus that loops round past the campsite and goes to St Davids and White Sands Beach. Would 100% return.
This campsite is a truly "get away from it all" site with the most spectacular views of Ramsey island and beyond, we were lucky to have an amazing sunset for each of the three nights we stayed, don't expect shops or tourist tat this is a place to totally unwind and relax, but if you like walking there's plenty of those on your doorstep too, as is St Davids, the UK's smallest city with a must visit cathedral and you'll find plenty of shops and eateries there alsoFacilities here are super clean and as a few reviews state is a bit of a walk to get to, but honestly if they were actually on the site itself I feel would spoil the overall feel of this special place, there is also a small coffee truck near the facilities but this was not open during our stayOverall if you want peace and quiet with no night light pollution and a stunning array of natural beauty with the bonus of electric hook up if required then don't hesitate to book
When arriving at Rhosson Ganol each year it feels like we re home.
I have been staying at Rhosson Ganol for many years. It is a wonderful location, with marvellous views over Ramsay Sound, but that can be a slight disadvantage if its too windy. No issues this year though. What I like particularly about the site is that it is a fairly simple farm site which is unsophisticated but it does have good facilities and the whole site is kept in excellent condition.
Had a lovely relaxing stay here. Nice layout and very professionally run. Will definitely return
