Rhosson Ganol caravan and camping site is run by David Griffiths and his wife Kate and David's father Henry. David and Kate have three children, Elin, Lili and Ioan.

The Griffiths family have farmed Rhosson Ganol since 1882 when David's Great Grandfather John Griffiths took on the tenancy at the age of 24 after working on Ramsey Island. David's Grand Parents Ivor and Ivy Griffiths bought the two farms Rhosson Isaf and Rhosson Ganol in 1936/1948 and opened up a field for camping in 1951.

David's Father Henry got planning permission for the static caravan site in 1961. Rhosson Ganol is a working farm and has a suckler beef herd of Limousin and Hereford cattle.

We have 40 grass pitches for touring caravans, camper vans and tents.

We have 20 electric hookups (10 amp) which require early booking to avoid disappointment. These pitches also include your own drinking water supply (two night minimum stay on these pitches).

We have free wifi, and a chemical disposal point on site.

We are open from Easter to October half term.

A superb location for caravan holidays in Pembrokeshire

We are a small, quiet, family oriented site, so we don't take bookings from large youth groups. We also ask for your arrival before 8pm. We don't allow camp fires but are happy with BBQ's. We are a dog friendly campsite in Pembrokeshire, but require dogs to be under control at all times.

Beautiful, quiet campsite with sea views and right on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path - we would love to come back!

The site is very quiet, almost at the end of a cul-de-sac, about 2.5 miles outside St Davids and belongs to a farm. Check-in was straightforward - the reception was not manned, but there was a notice board with information about the pitch we had booked. The site is very well maintained and even has a few picnic tables - which is very handy if you're travelling with a van or tent, for example. The sanitary facilities are relatively new and were perfectly adequate for the small number of people at the time. In summer, however, it could be a bit tight as there are only two showers at a time. There was a lack of storage facilities inside the shower cubicles, which would be a suggestion for improvement. In high season there seems to be catering in the form of coffee and pizza, but in mid-June there was still nothing on offer. There are plenty of places to eat and shop in St Davids, so that wasn't a problem for us.We were impressed by the location, the tranquillity of the site and the

Beautiful open space

Pitches allacated on the notice board at the entrance to the site. We needed leveling blocks on our pitch. The toilets and showers were clean and warm with plenty hot water. The washing up and laundry area is in a separate room which was good as it was very windy and showery when we stayed. The village of St Davids was lovely. Had coffee and cake in the farm shop/deli. We sat in the sheltered garden out the back lovely. We bought eggs and sausages from the butchers. The best sausages we have had in ages. We visited the cathedral. Amazing. Its nearly as big as the village itself. We had tea and a selection of Welsh cakes in the cathedral resturant. That filled a gap. We also visited Tenby for the day. A bit of a drive but very enjoyable. For a fish and chip supper we got recommended The Shed, Porthgain. You would never find it without recommendation. Fab fish and chips in a busy little harbour. We did just turn up but it is best to book.

Beautiful site location amazing views

Stayed here with our caravan for 8 days fabulous location the views are gorgeous looking straight across at Ramsey island and out to sea. Our trip was based around going to Ramsey island the site is a short walk to where you catch the boat ideal. The only downside to the site is the distance to the facilities block for emptying toilet cassettes etc.The block itself was modern and very clean.Plenty of lovely places to visit in the surrounding area St David's and it's Cathedral are well worth a visit as is a walk on the coastal paths.

This was a gem of a find. Its so peaceful, it’s so great we would rather not share. We haven’t used the main facilities as we are don’t need to but we love this spot and the sunsets are amazing. The only tiny tiny niggle is the path up into the campsite it’s quite a rough surface and could do with a view more chippings. It’s a great peace and now our second home.

Lovely site, our second stay here and the lovely central location and cliff top walks make this a relaxing place to stay. The facilities are well maintained and clean. The views from our pitch were amazing. We were disappointed the coffee and pastry shack was not open this time.

Been coming for years, love it.

Greenwood, Ade - 03/06/2025

Toilets/showers spotless as always. Friendly welcome. One thing to consider is providing EV charging somewhere on site, I believe that this will become a key differentiator for people in the future. (Btw It's such a shame that there aren't solar panels on the new toilet block!) Certainly 3 of our 12(?) vehicles were electric. Obviously you'd then need to work out some kind of rota/booking system but that's for once they're installed (I reckon a pair would be a good start) Thanks as always! Btw you can make a modest profit on the electricity used and it will still be far cheaper for people than going to town.
