Park Foot Holiday Park

A family run holiday park just 1 mile from Pooley Bridge. We do not accept group bookings, accommodating families and couples only. Set in magnificent scenery, our park accommodates touring caravans, tents and motorhomes. We also provide luxurious self catering accommodation in holiday houses and lodges, most with stunning lake views.

If you are looking for the perfect base in the Lake District, then look no further than Park Foot Holiday Park. Set on the banks of Ullswater, in the heart of the Lakes, we have three camping fields, all with electric hook up points, suitable for tents, caravans and motor homes and each have their own modern toilet and shower block.

Striding Edge field is situated close to the shop, new playground and new toilet/shower block. Sandall Field is situated closer to the reception area and TJ’s Restaurant/Bar. Lakeside Field has access to Lake Ullswater, providing stunning, picturesque views for those long, hot summer nights. There are drinking water taps placed conveniently around all the camping fields.

We want our guests to enjoy the experience of camping in Cumbria, so we endeavour to provide a friendly service and impeccable facilities. In doing so we hope our guests will continue to camp in the Lake District year after year, appreciating the beauty of Lake Ullswater, Pooley Bridge and our surrounding area.

Want to be on park, with self-catering, but don’t fancy a tent? Our luxury lodges, log cabins and cottages have complete access to the facilities at Park Foot.

At Park Foot, we have our own beach and launching facilities – free for those staying at the Park. You can also fish on Lake Ullswater for still water trout, perch, pike, char and schelly wild brown trout. The fishing season is from 15th March to 30th September each year - please note a rod license is required.

Please note, we are a family park only and do not accept groups.

Amazing Accommodation

Booked this house for its location for my son's 21st birthday surprise. Approaching the house we were blown away by the location. High in the park it has stunning views from both back and front of the house. Upon entering the accommodation we couldn't believe the high class finish throughout. It was so classy and had the wow factor to it definitely. Would definitely recommend 100%

Great accommodation couldn’t fault it. This was my 8month old daughter’s first holiday and she and ourselves loved it. The park eventhough was closed season for the regulars the staff sorted everything we needed. The walk into Pooley bridge was lovely and even easy with the pram down by the lake. Would definitely return again next year.

Visited 4 times last year . Amazing site shower blocks are up to date , warm and spotless. Pub is lovely and food is excellent. Booked for 4 nights over new year . And booked an extra night . Can’t wait to book again soon

Another great stay

We always book pitch 146. This is a great area as views of the lakes and by the stream which the kids play in with their bets in the summer. The only thing that would make this area of pitches perfect is the hedge row them like they have on the newer lakeside pitches. This is only because in the summer the kids ride between pitches to cut through, which sets my dog off. But that’s kids in the summer so not anything that would stop me coming back. We’ve stayed at new year and summer and always had a great time

Best campsite !

We have been coming to Park Foot for almost 30 years. With our children camping in tents and more recently in our caravan with our grandchildren. We have watched as the site has been improved over time. This place has everything. Fantastic location with direct access to the Lake for boats and paddleboards/kayaks and swimming. Fantastic new toilet and shower blocks. Great children’s play areas. The shop which has been our saviour so many times when something has been left at home ( I hope this continues with the new owners once the refurb is completed!). A takeaway and bar/restaurant. Direct access to the fell. Short walk along the lake to Pooley Bridge. It’s not the cheapest - but you pay for what you get. I love this place and will keep coming back as long as I’m able to!!!
