If you are looking for the perfect base in the Lake District, then look no further than Park Foot Holiday Park. Set on the banks of Ullswater, in the heart of the Lakes, we have three camping fields, all with electric hook up points, suitable for tents, caravans and motor homes and each have their own modern toilet and shower block.
Striding Edge field is situated close to the shop, new playground and new toilet/shower block. Sandall Field is situated closer to the reception area and TJ’s Restaurant/Bar. Lakeside Field has access to Lake Ullswater, providing stunning, picturesque views for those long, hot summer nights. There are drinking water taps placed conveniently around all the camping fields.
We want our guests to enjoy the experience of camping in Cumbria, so we endeavour to provide a friendly service and impeccable facilities. In doing so we hope our guests will continue to camp in the Lake District year after year, appreciating the beauty of Lake Ullswater, Pooley Bridge and our surrounding area.
Want to be on park, with self-catering, but don’t fancy a tent? Our luxury lodges, log cabins and cottages have complete access to the facilities at Park Foot.
At Park Foot, we have our own beach and launching facilities – free for those staying at the Park. You can also fish on Lake Ullswater for still water trout, perch, pike, char and schelly wild brown trout. The fishing season is from 15th March to 30th September each year - please note a rod license is required.
Please note, we are a family park only and do not accept groups.

It is furnished and equipped to a high standard with wheelchair access and wet room which makes the property ideal for those with limited mobility, it comprises:

I loved how peaceful the site was, no big groups allowed. also the takeaway was a nice surprise - the fish and chips were excellent! The staff were very helpful and super friendly, the toilets and showers were very clean, lots of places to get tap water, and the shop was very well stocked. Security wise I felt very safe as there are CCTV cameras dotted around. Loads of great walks right from the site including dog walks and easy access to the lake and Pooley Bridge. The site was very well maintained. Only thing I wasn’t keen on was the steepness of the camping area, if I’d realised it was that much of a slope I would’ve booked one of the other areas, but still it was pleasant enough with good views over the site. Very friendly ducks around as well!! I felt so relaxed after just a couple of nights I didn’t want to leave. Overall I was very impressed and am looking forward to booking again!
The park has great facilities and is in a lovely location with stunning views. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. When we stayed the park was not to busy so we had a peaceful couple of nights. As always when staying on a campsite it is the neighbouring campers that make it a good or bad experience.
We booked before the bank holiday weekend and it was quiet. (we prefer that) it's a 10 to 15 min walk into Pooley bridge but longer if you stop off with the dogs in the lake. Beautiful views. A bit longer walking along the Rd. The plots were massive so you're not crampt. Shower blocks were clean and spacious. I can imagine in high season being to busy. We didn't use tj's bar as it said no dogs so we didn't try.The only thing was the electric and water stand it didn't say if was drinking water.Overall I would stay here again
We stayed here for the first time in May and it was to say the least FANTASTIC. Great site, loads of choice of pitches , Large Bar and restaurant with good choice of wines and beers and food. Plus a takeaway food bar.Parks for the kids, streams for them to go netting in, Excellent fully stocked on site shop and believe me they do have EVERYTHING. Good clean toilet shower blocks, Location is right next to the lake where you can hire boats paddle boards or even take a dip. Just 5 mins walk and you are in the centre of Pooley bridge with its lovely shops/bars/restaurants and huge range of home made foods/wines/jams you name it they have it. Two night tent stay, non electric. Lots of noisy families on the electric pitches. The site patrols were rather unprofessional, I think the buggy patrol was the smoking break.The site is lovely, the receptionist that booked me in was lovely too. The shop has a really good choice for your evening meal, shame it doesn't sell alcohol.Facilities were lovely.Some vacated pitches were littered with the previous occupants rubbish which was such a shame, it really made the site look like something from Shameless the TV show.I will be staying again, well away from the electric chav pitches. Prices are on the high side bit of you use the facilities they're almost acceptable. Go weekdays and off season and it will be a different place.
Beautiful, fairly large site. We had a lakeside pitch. Very large pitch with electric,water and picnic table. Showers very clean with radio playing. Nice touch. Restaurant and bar with good food. Shop well stocked. Lovely easy walk in pooley bridge. Caught steam boat ferry to the waterfalls. We were blessed with beautiful weather, so very lucky. Would definitely recommend.
Really lovely setting, staying on the Lakeside site of the park. Very tidy site, excellent gravel pitches with lots of room for awning and vehicle. Well kept grassy areas and each pitch has a pub style bench to use for eating and drinking alfresco 😍
This park is by far the best camp site ever. The park is spotless. The staff amazing. Facilities amazing. Scenery amazing. Toilet block and showers amazing. I honestly can say this is the best site i have ever visited and I have been camping for 30 years, i will come back each year now, i jonestly found no faults at all not even a small niggle. This is our 3rd stay at Parkfoot and won’t be our last. It is clean and well maintained. The pitches are well set out and are not on top of each other. The staff were friendly across all facilities, from the guys in the shop, to the lady serving us in the restaurant.My only disappointment was we were enjoying it that much and wanted to book a couple of extra nights. Our pitch had been booked and there were lots of empty pitches around us, so we didn’t think it would be a problem. This won’t stop us from returning.The walk into Pooley Bridge isn’t far. We ate in a different restaurant each day and didn’t have a bad meal.Until next time!
