Excellent stay at Mains Farm. Stayed in one of their pods which is a first for us. Found the pods to be warm and cosy. Toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. Showers were powerful with plenty of hot water. We booked as a family with additional friends joining us over a period of 4 days. It was great that we were all given pods close to each other. We will definitely be back.

This is our fifth annual return to this lovely site and it doesn't disappoint.The pitches are spacious and there is lots of room for kids to play. Amenities are good and clean.Location is semi rural but there are several nice pubs and coffee shops nearby.We will return!

Really well run site. Julie and Robert were so accommodating and always stopped for a chat. Toilets and showers were cleaned and restocked regularly and the park was great for the kids.

Beautiful views spacious pitches lovely and clean plenty of space for children to play

Our second visit to Mains Farm, the first with caravan last year, so we knew the place and its ideal for a relaxing few days.Owners of site are fantastic and always there to help. Our pod had the added bonus of a plastic sheeting over it, a slight leak discovered, but it didn't spoil our stay.Close enough to Penrith for supplies, and a starting point to explore Ullswater and beyond.Place is so good, heading back there in August.

The staff were amazing and friendly, location is ideal and picturesque. The facilities were clean, the place had such character and we will be definitely be returning.

Fabulous little break. Felt safe for the children to have a bit of independence away from us. Some lovely walks and great things to do locally. Very helpful hosts who helped charge our battery when it went flat and then loaned us their jump-leads to prevent us being stranded as we went out and about in the local area. Thanks so much:)

Lovely campsite and facilities

We recently had a 1 night stay here and we absolutely loved it. It was a very chilled out place and the views were amazing. The facilities were very clean and at a nice standard. Robert was very friendly and welcoming. 1 night wasnt long enough, we can't wait to go back and stay for longer. Highly recomend!!!!

We visited as a family with my son, granddaughter, niece and her children and loved it. The site felt safe and the children (all primary school age) were able to play on the play equipment. The showers and toilets were clean and site noise at night was quiet. No music is great. Unfortunately the weather turned and we were unable to enjoy the river but liked the walks along it. Maybe there should be better signage on arrival as we were unsure about driving, also perhaps enclosed bins near the playground as I picked up rubbish which has blown out of bags but these are are minor issues compared to the views and friendliness of site. Would love to return soonPs my granddaughter only gave it 41/2 out of 5 as the sheep were noisy! 🤣
