Park Foot Holiday Park, Cumbria, England

If you are looking for the perfect base in the Lake District, then look no further than Park Foot Holiday Park. Set on the banks of Ullswater, in the heart of the Lakes, we have three camping fields, all with electric hook up points, suitable for tents, caravans and motor homes and each have their own modern toilet and shower block.

Striding Edge field is situated close to the shop, new playground and new toilet/shower block. Sandall Field is situated closer to the reception area and TJ’s Restaurant/Bar. Lakeside Field has access to Lake Ullswater, providing stunning, picturesque views for those long, hot summer nights. There are drinking water taps placed conveniently around all the camping fields.

We want our guests to enjoy the experience of camping in Cumbria, so we endeavour to provide a friendly service and impeccable facilities. In doing so we hope our guests will continue to camp in the Lake District year after year, appreciating the beauty of Lake Ullswater, Pooley Bridge and our surrounding area.

Want to be on park, with self-catering, but don’t fancy a tent? Our luxury lodges, log cabins and cottages have complete access to the facilities at Park Foot.

At Park Foot, we have our own beach and launching facilities – free for those staying at the Park. You can also fish on Lake Ullswater for still water trout, perch, pike, char and schelly wild brown trout. The fishing season is from 15th March to 30th September each year - please note a rod license is required.

Please note, we are a family park only and do not accept groups.

On arrival the park is clean and tidy, reception staff extremely helpful and the Cabin we stayed in (Martindake)was fantastic. Well presented and clean with everything you needed including a lovely welcome pack. Not been to Parkfoot for around 10 years and what a difference, the park has more electric hookups and hard standing areas as well as some of the original grass pitches. Lake side is a big improvement with the new jetty and water sports hut. A little disappointed about TJ’s as last time I was here it was more activities based and centred more child friendly with arcades and DJ’s/ singers performing so kids could get up and dance (as well as adults) but food was excellent and like I said staff all welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Park Foot has great amenities with friendly staffThe shower blocks are immaculate There is a shop, bar/restaurant and takeaway on site which are all greatThe views from the site over Ullswater Lake are breathtaking and the lakeside walk into Pooley Bridge is lovely We love this place and would highly recommend One minor negative is we find it very difficult to watch tv in our motorhome in the evening due to a really poor signal - we do not have trouble receiving on any other site so it would be perfection if the site had aerial points to plug into on the pitches but this would never put us off from going to Park Foot - it’s a gem!!

Lovely site, stayed on lake side super pitches, excellent view of the lake, 10 minutes walk into Pooley Bridge by the lake.Had a takeaway which was very good and good price. Shop very well stocked with everything you need. New toilet block was very near to be completed which will be an added bonus. Overall a very beautiful site and can't wait to return
