If you are looking for the perfect base in the Lake District, then look no further than Park Foot Holiday Park. Set on the banks of Ullswater, in the heart of the Lakes, we have three camping fields, all with electric hook up points, suitable for tents, caravans and motor homes and each have their own modern toilet and shower block.
Striding Edge field is situated close to the shop, new playground and new toilet/shower block. Sandall Field is situated closer to the reception area and TJ’s Restaurant/Bar. Lakeside Field has access to Lake Ullswater, providing stunning, picturesque views for those long, hot summer nights. There are drinking water taps placed conveniently around all the camping fields.
We want our guests to enjoy the experience of camping in Cumbria, so we endeavour to provide a friendly service and impeccable facilities. In doing so we hope our guests will continue to camp in the Lake District year after year, appreciating the beauty of Lake Ullswater, Pooley Bridge and our surrounding area.
Want to be on park, with self-catering, but don’t fancy a tent? Our luxury lodges, log cabins and cottages have complete access to the facilities at Park Foot.
At Park Foot, we have our own beach and launching facilities – free for those staying at the Park. You can also fish on Lake Ullswater for still water trout, perch, pike, char and schelly wild brown trout. The fishing season is from 15th March to 30th September each year - please note a rod license is required.
Please note, we are a family park only and do not accept groups.

This detached bungalow is ideally located on Park foot holiday park to enjoy all the facilities close at hand being next to the shop, close to the club house and overlooking the tennis/basketball/football court. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard with wheelchair access and wet room which makes the property ideal for those with limited mobility, it comprises:

Lovely site with very helpful and friendly staff. The toilets and showers were clean and all other facilities close by. We didn’t use restaurant or shop but both looked good. There are nice spacious pitches with grass areas in between each. We were on the lake side of the road so great view too. We left to go somewhere else but weren’t happy with new site so came back for another night!! Lovely walk down to the lake and along tho Pooley Bridge with nice pubs and shops. Got the Ulleswater Steamer from there to Howtown and walked back. All in all a lovely stay and would highly recommend
Stayed in the far field where toilets were being built - not too much of an issue but the main toilet and shower block was very far away as a result and showers were a dribble, can’t wash hair. Assume this is the reason for the new block.Curfews weren’t adhered to or enforced, which made for a late night. Didn’t visit the main area with the shop etc to comment.Generally grounds were nearly and tidy - probably a good site for large families but not for a relaxing stay.
A very nice site with helpful and polite staff too. We booked pitch 43 SE in an effort to escape the crowds, as expected it to be busy being a Friday and we were not wrong! The sun was blazing down which obviously brought the custom and many children, of which the site is ideally catered for being primarily for family holidays. We will definitely return, there is so much to do here either on the water, walking, biking and pub lunches only a pleasant 15 minute walk away, but would be through the week and not school holidays as it was not quiet, even on the last pitch possible that we had booked. I do think it is odd to put tents next to serviced caravan and motor home pitches, but just my opinion as not seen this on previous sites. We look forward to our next visit.

Excellent site ,well kept grounds and facilities. Staff are very friendly and approachable. The shop is well stocked and very reasonable with facility to pay cash or card. Tjs bar and restaurant facilities are clean and roomy. Menu ok but on coming to order drinks and meals discovered CARD ONLY. I prefer to have the choice to pay cash and many others on the site made this comment , so we made the choice to spend our money on drinks and meals in the local village . May i just suggest a small table area in the disabled toilets for those people who need to use equipment for Stoma or catheter etc as this is not in situ at this moment in time.The toilets are impecibly clean and are cleaned very regularly.If you like to use water sports ( kayak etc) you can launch from the site and staff are happy to advise you how to access the water.There is a small coffee van and water sport unit in the car park by the water.loads of space for your caravan and car on the pitch.
Loved it. A great location for both the Lake and the Fell, with wildlife all around us - and even some sun on our last day. Facilities were very good. Comfortable bed and bedding. Utility room was great. Dishwasher was a little weak as it didn’t manage to clean the dishes. Neighbours were disruptive over BH weekend (children playing football in back yard after midnight). Would book same week next year but unfortunately price prohibitive with no explanation as to why.
I booked a two night stay in my campervan, with my four dogs. For my first adventure, I wanted to stay relatively local. My friend was also staying at another local campsite, but having four dogs, I couldn’t go on there. I also tried a few others close to him, but again came up on the problem of having four dogs. I booked Parkfoot the night before my arrival, as I’m unfamiliar with the site, I booked a pitch close to reception. On my arrival, I announced this was my first time in my van, and the receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful. I parked up, and decided to walk into Pooley Bridge. Met two lovely ladies, who were also on the same site, but in a different area. They insisted as I was on my own, that I move near to them. Again the receptionist couldn’t do enough for me. She allowed me to move to a different pitch, just in front of where the other ladies were. I had a fabulous first experience in my van, and will definitely go back to Parkfoot. Superb site , probably the best site in the lakes
Park Foot is a a really good holiday park. It is an ideal location for relaxing, outdoor activities and the on-site facilities are the best we’ve experienced. The site is maintained to a high standard, the welfare facilities are cleaned very frequently and are spotless. The on-site shop, bar & restaurant provide a great service and the restaurant provides a takeaway option. We visit Park Foot regularly and can only speak highly of all the staff who we had interface with. They are most courteous, helpful & pleasant and will go the extra mile to please. My only point of critique is, that it would be helpful if there was a metal worktop/workbench in the alsan facility.We are planning our next visit and hope to return soon - Thankyou all.
Great place to stay, especially the Lakeside site beautifully situated by Ullswater lake. Lovely local walks. The TJ restaurants and takeaway are great, can really recommend the steak and ale pie!!Stunning part of the country and the park gets better each year, adding new play areas and more facilities. The whole site is well cared for and tidy. Highly recommend
