We have a selection of hard standing pitches available for Touring Caravans, Motorhomes, Campervans, Trailer Tents, Folding Caravans and RV's. For Tents we have a area of level grass pitches.

New from April 2022, we have five glamping pods available for a minimum of 2 night stay, each with kitchen and en-suite facilities.

Glamping Pods

Each pod can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. Linen and towels are provided, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with microwave oven, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery & cutlery. There is also an en-suite toilet, shower, and wash hand basin. Each pod has central heating and lighting.

Externally there is storage for outdoor equipment and a large decking area.

All you need to bring is your clothes, food and toiletries. Remember, we do have our own food van on site so if you don’t fancy cooking, check out The Burger Box on Facebook for menu and opening times.

I cannot remember the guy on the scooters name, but he was so welcoming and really helpful! He was from hedge end which is very close to where we are based. It was a lovely place to end our north coast 500 trip!

The only thing I would say is the burger box is not open quite a few days out of the week which does make it a slight challenge if you do not want to walk too far to get to town but we managed to get a takeaway anyway so wasn’t too much of a negative. I guess only having 2 sinks for washing up could be difficult when busy but I only had to wait a little for the sink.

We have been to Oakwood several times since opening. We love this caravan site and our children love it too. The facilities are amazing with a modern, spotless toilet block and a fantastic park for the children. We love taking the bikes and cycling into Aviemore and beyond.

We only stayed for one night but the staff where very friendly and helpful with my enquiries. The facilities where modern and clean. The park was great for the children to play in the afternoon and the food from the burger van was delicious. Very highly recommended.

Stayed at this campsite a couple of times now and have already booked to visit again. It sits just on the edge of Aviemore so a great location, 5 mins into town centre. The campsite is kept clean and organised, it is very safe and secure, it has a nice playback for the kids. The shower block is very clean and modern with ample showers for guests, clean toilets and a decent sized area for washing our cooking gear. The staff are very friendly, and happy throughout our stay, there seemed to be someone always present if needed. The only negative I had would be that the ground on the camping area can be tricky at times to get pegs into due to stones and tree roots however a few tries and angles layer we managed. This would be the only reason why I would not rate 5 stars.

Very friendly staff. Clean shower / toilet facilities. Good size pitch. Nice little walks around the perimeter of the campsite. Located close to Aviemore.Shame the burger bar did not have decent information about when it was going to be open.

Fantastic site, friendly and helpful staff. Coffee,burger van a plus. Only downside was as you are a good distance from the town then a licenced shop or bar on site would have been great. Didn't spoil our holiday and we've already recommended it to friends. We will definitely be back. We have a large motorhome and it's one of the first sites recently to welcome us and what a difference that makes to your stay.
