The facilities are excellent - hot water, clean, super showers, washing up, toilet emptying, power and water supply. For a caravan you can't fault it, and it's only a short walk from the town and in the other direction excellent dog walks.However, I have a campervan with a driveaway tent and fixing it was something of a problem as the suitable pitches are on hard standing and getting pegs in was very hard work. Take stony ground pegs!

A very well run site with good facilities. Staff very welcoming and informative. This time we had a serviced pitch unfortunately the TV point did not work, although the next day we were provided with a box to connect but this didn't work cable to short. Gave up in the end and just enjoyed the beautiful scenary. A point to make, a large sign at reception stating no.BBQs no fires of any description, the caravan on the next pitch arrived on Wednesday afternoon and proceeded to have a BBQ!! With all the fires about perhaps a staff person might go around the site early evening. These were not teenagers but a family of 4 and 2 grandparents.

Having visited a few times over the years the Grantown the super pitches are worth the price ,providing more space which is welcome our only concern was the amount of dogs which were not on leads the owners thinking their dog is under their control whilst off the lead , which is not the case, we witness one instance when two dogs being walked on the lead with their owner were physically attacked by one larger dog not on a lead ,the owners could have been injured trying to separate all three. Despite signage on the site ref keeping dogs on leads not aleays adhered to.

Well set out good sized pitches with clean toilet/shower/dish washing facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Only a short walk into the town and regular bus service into Aviemore. Nice walks right on your doorstep that are suitable for all abilities.
