Martleaves Farm Campsite is located between Weymouth and Portland in Dorset on the stunning Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The campsite is open 365 days a year with electric and non electric grass pitches and electric hard standing pitches. NO ADVANCE BOOKING required from 15 October to 15 December and from 4 Jan to 15 March, just come along and pay on arrival, no need to call or message, we have plenty of space.
Over Christmas and New Year, from 15 December until 4 January we're rather busy so it's best to book online.
Please note from 1st January 2023 we will be an Adults Only campsite and will not accept under 18s or large groups of over 4 guests.
We have no farm shop but in the farmhouse porch we sell local honey, various items campers may have forgotten such as tooth brushes, shampoo etc, and when available our own free range goose, duck, chicken and bantam eggs from the garden.
On the farm we have Shetland ponies, horses, alpacas and sheep and a footpath down to the Fleet Estuary which is just 300 metres from the campsite.
The office is normally open from 10am until 7pm. The site is always open and campers arriving late can pay after 10am the following morning. There are always contact numbers on the Reception door if the office is closed.
We ask that dogs are kept on leads on site at all times. They can be off their leads on our footpath down to the sea.
Local shops and bus stops are a 5 minute walk from the farm in Portland Road. Buses run regulrly between Weymouth and Portland.
To access the site please head towards Wyke Regis and Portland, drive along Portland Road and turn right at the traffic lights into Langton Avenue, right again into Marlborough Avenue, then 2nd left into South Road. Please do not use Sat Nav as local roads are very narrow with parking both sides.
NGS. Saturday 3rd June and Sunday 4th June 2023 we are opening our gardens for charity. National Garden Scheme raises money for various charities. Last year we raised over £1,600. Everyone welcome 2-6pm Admission £6.

We arrived on New Years day ,very easy to find and good directions given that avoids narrow roads that the satnav will send you as you approach the farm. We arrived just as everyone else was leaving so we pretty much had the place to ourselves and we were told we could pick any spot , so we had one looking out to sea and surrounding views and it was stunning ,beautiful sunsets too and lovely beach walks.Good clean toilets and lovely hot showers , there is a hairdryer too.Washing up area is undercover if we wanted to use it and we did sometimes. This is a working farm so yes in wet winter months its going to be muddy but we didn’t see this as an issue at all, we had boots! The farm is very close to a bus stop that will take you to Portland one way and Weymouth the other and we did this a few times. Tesco, Nisa, fish and chip shop, dominoes, subway are among the local shops along with a pub but we didn’t go in there. All in all a fabulous stay and we will definitely be returning!
Location great. Pitches very good. Directions very good. Showers below average. Very clean, but would be nice to have some where to hang or place your clothes away from and off the wet floor while showering.
Mostly flat pitches although some are sloped.Great thing is open all year whereas nothing else is available in this area during winter.Horses, llama and sheep were adorable. As it was new years eve and raining the shower/toilet room was quite messy from people's wet boots etc but I'm sure normally this isn't as bad. They were cleaned daily.Great location for walks ans lovely views.5 mins walk to high street if you want to pop to pub or get some bits from tesco etc. Also have domino's, Chinese takeaway and fish and chips if you don't fancy cooking. Deliveries available to campsite. We covered a lot of the area but may return sometime. Great campsite!
Very clean showers but dies need driveway tarmacking very muddy with pot holes
Lovely quiet site with lots of walks and cycling routes, local shops offer lots of food options and the small village has lots to offer including a Service Veterans cafe which serves some top notch food. Will be back again in 2023.
Nice quiet campsite with great views, the toilet block was clean and well appointed, we were very happy for the one night we spent there.
Had a great week camping at Martleaves farm and the site was in a great position for climbing on Portland. The campsite had great views of the lagoon and beach beyond. A little uneven in some areas but we found a great spot by the fence which was flat, with horses and sheep for our neighbours 😁. Great toilets, showers and laundry areas a short walk away. Wifi wasn't easy to get though but it didn't bother use to much. The coastal path goes from the campsite which is great for walking into Weymouth and other walks and Portland is only 10mins walk away with all amenities needed. So thoroughly recommend this campsite and booking was easy online and our ticket for our tent left at reception, where you can buy brilliant eggs from the farm.
Very happy with everything
Perfect spot, beautiful location, views to the sea. Lovely hot shower
The entrance panicked us as it is through a building site. However when we got through all was ok. The toilet facilities whilst basic were excellent and the views magnificent. We will return again. Close to everything we needed. The only downside which is no reflection on Martleaves was the proximity of the toilets to the campers and we found them walking past out site talking and laughing loudly at all times particularly early mornings. In my opinion a separate toilet block should be made available for campers in there field. Excellent otherwise ,and we wil return
