Why not try something different!
Our Tipi Tents are available from May until the end of September and have uninterrupted views of the river Eden. The Tipis are made from cotton and have a raised decking area.
We ask that no cooking is done inside the Tipi and any barbecues must be on the Grass, not on the decking.
You need to bring everything to camp but not the tent. There is an electric supply to the Tipi, but no heating or lighting is provided.
Check in from 3pm, and we ask you to leave your Tipi by 11am on the day of departure.
We would appreciate the traditional way of removing shoes when entering the Tipi, and please leave it as you found it.
Sorry no dogs or candles are allowed inside our Tipis.

Bunk houses house two bunkbeds sleeping up to four people. Bunk beds are make up with a bed sheet and pillow, duvets are available upon request.
The bunk houses are sympathetically converted from old sandstone farm buildings. Containing two bunk beds the three bunk barns can house four people in each. Ideal for cyclist as we are situated a mile off the C2C route.

We just wanted a quiet few days away on a peaceful site and this certainly exceeded our expectations. Beautiful farm with lots of pitch options the weather was very hot so our pitch beside the shade of a tree was perfect. Fantastic friendly owners who obviously loved to spend a few moments for a lovely chat. Fab walks from the site lovely for our dog. Facilities were clean and had everything we needed. The site was very quiet when we stayed which we liked might be different when busy at weekends.
We visit here on regular basis and have been in a tent and camping pod. We find the farm./ campsite a relaxing environment. Clean and lovely walk to the river Eden. The views are stunning. Usually I pay extra reps private bathroom. You can rent A fire pit. It would be nice to have the option to rent a parasol when the weather is hot as can not always fit one in the car. Amenities are good local pub warm and welcoming with good food. Went to Keswick and Penrith and Barnard castle.
My friends and I try to do an annual kayak trip down the River Eden and this location is perfect. This was our 4th time staying at the site and as always it provided everything we needed for another unforgettable weekend. The owners are so welcoming and approachable, really go out their way to ensure you have a good stay. I've already recommended this place to family and friends and we will definitely be staying again and again for years to come!
We camped with other families to celebrate our children’s birthdays. We were placed in a field together even though we were in a tent and they were in vans. The place is stunning and the hosts had thought of everything! Great playground and honesty shop, really clean showers and toilet block. Will definitely return.
Our weekend away at the main farm campsite was really peaceful great pitch sizes facilities where good.Plenty of walking pathways around the site as well as a lovely river not even 5 minutes walk away for the pitch.I did find that the electrical box on the pitch I was staying on was abit loose and its possible that water could get inside. This was the only problem I encountered whilst staying here other than that it was really good with friendly staff at the reception.
Amazing location, amazing site, perfect weekend with friends and kids
A lot of thought and work has gone into this site, the result is they have managed to keep it as a traditional rustic camp site with a lot of stings to its bow.No it’s isn’t 5 star facilities but it is charming family oriented fun, and they do it with a smile and friendliness.Keep up the good work.
2nd time we have stayed as a family group. Easy to find despite being quite remote. A lovely, well kept site with friendly staff. Facilities plentiful and clean. Plenty of space between pitches and loads of room for kids to play. Lovely walks from the site, great pub in Kirkoswald. Will definitely return.
Good view, well maintained camp. Friendly staff.
There is very little to fault at this campsite. Despite the undulating countryside, the pitches are level and have electric hook-ups and water. The facilities are clean, well maintained and extensive. The location is idyllic with views of the Lake District and a river. The only faults: the security light on the farmhouse is visible at night if you're in a tent. £8 a night for an additional car seems excessive.
