Explore the unparalleled beauty of Snowdonia National Park within our well-appointed, family-friendly site. A warm welcome awaits you at our working hill farm near the small picturesque town of Dolgellau. Our quiet park has grass and hardstanding pitches available with or without electric. Visitors can wake up to a view of the mountains!
Whether you are looking for a relaxing retreat or an adventurous holiday, Llwyn yr Helm is the perfect base for experiencing the raw beauty and thrills of Snowdonia National Park.
Our newly refurbished reception building is an attractive and useful hub for all of our guests. We have comfortable seating for you to relax in while you pour through useful local information, read a book from our book borrowing service, or just enjoy our free reception WIFI to touch base with home and check your emails.
The shelves in our shop stock every day essentials as well as locally sourced produce that we think you may enjoy. We will happily freeze your ice blocks in our freezer at no extra charge.
New in 2020, our centrally located facilities block is nestled within the natural curve of our landscape and consists of disabled/family rooms, male and female showers and toilets, washing-up sinks and chemical waste disposal point. We also have a conveniently located drive over waste disposal point.
There’s nothing worse that trying to dry wet clothes in a tent, so if your day out exploring involves getting wet and dirty, or even if you just want to go home without the washing pile? Our useful laundry has a coin operated washing machine and drier and is open 24 hours a day, throughout the season.
Our characterful touring field extends to four acres, sectioned-off into three separate areas by hedges and traditional Welsh dry stone walls. Each pitch is as unique as the guests that stay with us. We have a combination of electric and non-electric pitches on a variety of hardstanding and luscious grass bases.
Being a family friendly caravan park, we have an outdoor play area to entertain young family members, alongside a small playing field ideal for a family game of football. We also encourage natural play in our nature areas as well as promoting conservation.
Being a working hill farm, we also encourage you to take an interest in our friendly farm animals during your stay. Collect your own eggs for breakfast, feed our pet lambs and watch the playful goats while you learn about the various breeds of animals on the farm.
We pride ourselves on being a dog friendly park and well behaved waggy tailed friends are as welcome as you are. All we ask is that you keep your dogs on a lead within the park and clear up any mess.
We also have a designated dog exercise area within the park and a selection of dog treats and eco-friendly poo bags available to buy at our shop.
Our one bedroom cottage, Beudy Isaf is perfect for couples to enjoy a romantic escape away from it all.
The lounge has a fireplace for those cosy nights, and the ground floor also features a contemporary shower room with a rainfall shower, so you can prepare for those daily adventures at ease.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, under counter fridge, dishwasher and crockery, so you have everything you need for the perfect getaway.

Pitches are flat on handstand and for tents all areas tidy and shower block spotless and even got free laundrette for drying and dog wash
We do not have 1 negative thing to say about this campsite! It’s hands down the best we’ve ever been to! The facilities are immaculate, the pitches are the same. We saw the pitches being tended to inbetween each of the guests, tidied and the grass mowed. The dog meadow is fab, what a wonderful idea! The owners so friendly, including their gorgeous little doggo! The farm area you can tell the animals are so well cared for, the pigs are particularly friendly! You can clearly tell the family who own this love and have pride in the site. Already planning our next stay, problem is we will struggle to go anywhere else now as this will not be beaten!
Great site with fantastic wardens. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The guests we met on site were very friendly and we had a great tim Many thanks.
Beautiful campsite, in a beautiful part of the world, this is my second visit, I came here because it’s close to coed y brenin mountain bike trails, about 12 miles up the road. The toilet / shower blocks are excellent, spacious, modern and clean. The campsite is well kept and tidy with amazing views.I couldn’t get tv signal , ee signal ok at day, but not at night so switched to vodaphone WiFi thing that worked just great. The pitch I was on was alright, the slate was a nuisance, awning pegs would either go in too easily by hand or wouldn’t go in at all, and the small sharp fragments of slate go everywhere, so not a fan of that, the pitch I was on before near the entrance was nice and level, I had to mess about with blocks and stuff to get caravan level ish.Not a lot near by but there is a filling station with a good shop. The road in is a little tight over the narrow bridge, I wouldn’t recommend it to 8ft wide caravans, might be too tight, but my 2 berth caravan made it over
The campsite was very well maintained and the access although a bit narrow in places was ok. We considered the stay good value for money and would recommend it to anyone
We stayed here outside of the school holidays and it was a lovely campsite with amazing views. The dog walking field was lovely with a little stream running through for the dog to paddle in, it felt quiet wild and special with great views. Also the play area was a great safe space for little ones and the bark meant it stays clean even in wet weather. The facilities were first class and the larger family rooms made it easy to shower little ones. We would definitely consider staying again.
We were greeted with a very warm welcome, the Staff are lovely, it’s a very clean, tidy and well maintained Campsite, it’s 8 mins from the Mach Loop and onsite it was lovely to visit theyre family farm with Highland Cows, goats, kids etc I loved every minute of it… Definitely worth a visit and ill definitely be returning :)
Everything here was spotless and clean. Lovely hot showers all clean. Stunning views of the mountains. Daughter loved visiting the farm animals daily. Would definitely recommend
