A warm welcome awaits you at our working hill farm near the small picturesque town of Dolgellau. Our quiet park has grass and hardstanding pitches available with or without electric. Visitors can wake up to a view of the mountains!

Whether you are looking for a relaxing retreat or an adventurous holiday, Llwyn yr Helm is the perfect base for experiencing the raw beauty and thrills of Snowdonia National Park.

Our newly refurbished reception building is an attractive and useful hub for all of our guests. We have comfortable seating for you to relax in while you pour through useful local information, read a book from our book borrowing service, or just enjoy our free reception WIFI to touch base with home and check your emails.

The shelves in our shop stock every day essentials as well as locally sourced produce that we think you may enjoy. We will happily freeze your ice blocks in our freezer at no extra charge.

New in 2020, our centrally located facilities block is nestled within the natural curve of our landscape and consists of disabled/family rooms, male and female showers and toilets, washing-up sinks and chemical waste disposal point. We also have a conveniently located drive over waste disposal point.

There’s nothing worse that trying to dry wet clothes in a tent, so if your day out exploring involves getting wet and dirty, or even if you just want to go home without the washing pile? Our useful laundry has a coin operated washing machine and drier and is open 24 hours a day, throughout the season.

Our characterful touring field extends to four acres, sectioned-off into three separate areas by hedges and traditional Welsh dry stone walls. Each pitch is as unique as the guests that stay with us. We have a combination of electric and non-electric pitches on a variety of hardstanding and luscious grass bases.

Being a family friendly caravan park, we have an outdoor play area to entertain young family members, alongside a small playing field ideal for a family game of football. We also encourage natural play in our nature areas as well as promoting conservation.

Being a working hill farm, we also encourage you to take an interest in our friendly farm animals during your stay. Collect your own eggs for breakfast, feed our pet lambs and watch the playful goats while you learn about the various breeds of animals on the farm.

We pride ourselves on being a dog friendly park and well behaved waggy tailed friends are as welcome as you are. All we ask is that you keep your dogs on a lead within the park and clear up any mess.

We also have a designated dog exercise area within the park and a selection of dog treats and eco-friendly poo bags available to buy at our shop.

We spent three nights at Llwyn yr Helm the shower block is the best we have used clean and spacious,staff where friendly and helpfull,the Torent river walk was brilliant with it been in April the river was high and fast flowing ,all activities are close by.

Hi. Wonderful kind and warm welcome. Even phoned before our arrival to explain which pitch we'd be on. Super. Great to hear the camping adventure stories from Maria and husband managing the site. Thank you and good luck with next ventures! Very high standard facilities, with even underfloor heating in the showers! Clean, modern, reassuringly well-maintained, in great condition. Pitch was level, super views, easy access. Location not far from all the wonderful outdoor activities. Nice reception lounge. Fun to meet the various animals: calf, hens, goats, sheep etc Peaceful. Can't fault it and would definitely add this to our repertoire of campsites, this having been our first time here. Thanks to all. Very well done!!

This was our second stay at Llwyn-yr-Helm camp site and it was just as good as the first time. The shower and toilet facilities are second to none and kept spotlessly clean.We had a hard standing this time as it was late in the year, and the pitch was great. Can’t fault this site at all. Will definitely return again.

We stayed here for two nights. Beautiful peaceful location. Very friendly site. As stated in other reviews the toilet/shower facilities are the best I’ve ever seen. Loved the animals and we left with boxes of fresh eggs! What’s not to like? Will definitely be back.

Great picturesque landscape Great for walking and the cycles we took( glad we had electric assist bikes as some hills would have been challenging. Couldn’t fault the location for its quietness and cleanliness as toilet shower block was exceptional. Friendly Staff greeted us and provided all info and assistance required. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helped us with a trivial matter with our new van.Excellently located for Cadair Idris range and Dolgellau.Toilets were immaculately clean on the busy weekend. However on Monday and Tuesday only the family rooms were open and they quickly became dirty after a day and were not kept as clean as the previous days.A fair price for the quality of the amenities and location. I’ve stayed in many campsites surrounding Dolgellau and this is easily the best.Thanks you. Can’t wait to return.
