We have stayed here a couple of times. The site is well laid out & the toilets & showers are clean. Unfortunately, despite advertising days and times, there is nobody based on the nsite to discuss any issues & deal with any rubbish This needs to be sorted out. People are paying to stay here. When we arrived, the two places next to our place had a large amount of items presumably left by the previous occupiers - 2 bikes, a computer table, a large gas canister, an electrical power cable, and a quantity of other bags of rubbish that ended being blown about the site. These items ware there for a good two days, and my wife phoned twice to ask the site be cleaned. he grass in the site required cutting, and it would have been far too long for any tents to be erected.
Easy access and and really secure with the coded gate, all the facilities you need and clean, staff in the coffee shop really helpful when we enquired about catching the bus into Belfast
A well kept site . Close to train and bus travel . A lovely place to go for walks . At night it is magic to see all the lights of the docks area and the opposite shore also seeing the boats sailing up Belfast lough. ...Happy days ..
We've always enjoyed staying at the Jordanstown Loughshore site, but this time unfortunately we did'nt, due to issues with other users of the site. The toilets and shower facilities were not up to the usual standard. They are badly in need of modernisation and being updated. But we look forward to returning in the future.
We love coming to this site as it gives us the opportunity to meet up with friends who live nearby. We usually go to the Bureau, which is about a ten minute walk away. However, during our last stay we were disappointed to see the mess some people left behind. It really was disgraceful. The campsite is not manned on a full-time basis, but I do think people should be made aware of the leave no trace rule. I wouldn't want to put people off staying here, as it really is a handy stopover site, especially if you are coming into Northern Ireland on the ferry into Belfast. This whole area is having a substantial amount of money invested in it in the near future. Hopefully it will be treated with respect.
Although they did not disturb our party in any way we were disappointed to find members of the traveller community abusing the site again. One of their enormous caravans was at loughshore the last time we were there and it was present again. When they eventually left (5 hours late) they left bikes, a gas cylinder and various rubbish behind. These people have little respect for others and their property and should use designated traveller sites.
We stayed last weekend had friends who wished to come when we went on line to book it said it was full .Booking systems a joke there was only 3 caravans and two Motorhomes all week end
Fantastic little spot definitely we’ll return and only a Short distance form the ferry terminal
We had booked Fri 05th and Sat 06th April at the Loughshore in order to visit family in Jordanstown. We got a call on the morning of the 05th to say that the park was going to be closed over those dates after all due to the impending arrival of Storm Kathleen on the Saturday. We were offered the opportunity to stay at the Six Mile Park at Antrim instead. We didn’t want to miss the chance to visit our family and couldn’t, rightly, expect two 80 year olds to drive to Antrim in high winds. We asked if we could stay at the Loughshore on Friday night and move to Antrim on the Saturday. Diane, in the Parks Dept, was very flexible and was happy that we did so. We feel she went out of her way to help us. Loughshore Park is a super facility, spotlessly clean and ideally located in Jordanstown. It was quiet with a little road noise but the screening is very effective. I have given a score of 4 because the large bins were overflowing. We’d stay again and highly recommend it if visiting Belfast.
We spent 2 nights at Jordanstown Loughshore Park and it is a great facility. It is located between a very busy dual carriageway and the sea so bring earplugs, it is very noisy during the day and the night. Just for that reason, we will not return, nor recommend.
