Just home from 3 night stay in jordanstown campsite.I have stayed here before and find it very good. Location excellent for travelling around. Site small but well maintained and showers are excellent, although there is only 2 showers in ladies. The only thing that would put me off is the smell from Belfast lough on a hot day. Unfortunately it is disgusting and we could not sit outside to eat i the sun due to the smell.
We've have stayed many times with grandchildren, teenagers everyone loves it young old and older
The campsite was clean, surrounding ok, the noise of the road terrible
We've stayed a a couple of the municipal campsites in NI now and they've all been great. Loughshore has all you need for a comfortable stay. Great showers, accessible sinks outside. If you've got an early ferry to catch or just want somewhere to stay while visiting Belfast its great. We couldn't find anywhere to dump our grey waste water though. There is a little road noise and we had some noisy teenagers hanging out in the park just outside the fence until later in the evening but otherwise no issues at all.
The only problem I had was no sleep. This was due to the constant flow of traffic on the nearby road.I know it's not something that can be stopped. Just a pity thou. As it is the reason I wudnt go back.Forgot to say I was in a Tent. 😠
I was a bit disappointed with the lack of recycling bins. Also the area around the bins very untidy. Am thinking of tourists arriving in our country and seeing that.
Very well kept site with excellent security, only negative is some traffic noise in the evening.
The disabled toilet was not cleaned the three day we were their. Their was a false nail and hair in shower for the three days and floor was dirty. Other than that nice site.
Great base to travel into Belfast or the coast road train just 10 minutes walk away facility great and very well maintained and clean
The site was very clean, Toilet and showers were perfect. The pitches are generous. Shops are within walking distance from the camp site. There's a coffee/ice cream shop as you enter the site which have delicious ice cream and excellent coffee I can confirm. There's a bit of road noise from it being close to the main drag but it get quiter later.al I all I will be back.
