Good location in relation to time to/from Ferry port, Belfast attractions and walking/riding along the Loughshore. Site not secure as local youths gained access into the site on 2 occasions that I am aware of. EHU. Water and Drainage on each pitch was good and pitches near level. Felt MH3 pitch totally overlooked our Pitch 1 and did not enjoy this lack of privacy. Toilet and Shower facilities were fine. Main points against this site are the access off the main coast road (tight turnings and vicious speed ramps) and the incessant Noise of vehicles on the coast road 24/7 which really spoilt the stay for us. We won't be back due to the racket, sad to say.

Stayed the night before ferry back to Scotland and would may be use again for that reason but not for any other reason. The site is next to a busy road so was noisy. Also noise from park nearby until 1.00am in the morning from young people. On the plus side the showers were great, hot and did not go off. The lay out of the site was good with good facilities. Trains into Dublin were only a 15 minutes walk from the site and ran every half hour. There is a nice cafe next to the site which is good for snacks and breakfast. Views across the bay from outside the site are nice and there is a good path to walk or cycle on.

Pleasent area, easy to access off the A2 and coinvent for visiting Belfast

Badminton, David - 26/06/2022

On arrival, the site did give the impression of being at prison gates and the overall look of the building that housed the facilities didn't change that. For the 3 nights we stayed we never saw any staff but the entry system worked and the fence, trees and landscaping made you feel quite safe once inside given that it is in a very busy area with the car park, cafe, childrens play area, riverside walk and park surrounding it, which all quietened down at night. There is continuous traffic running alongside the site on the A2 which may bother some visitors. but that is why it is a very accessabile site. The pitches were well organised, spaced out and tidy. The facilities were adequet but rather uninviting. A tip for those with a motor home - there is an open air car park to the right of Titanic museum on Queens road, with no height barriers, and right by the city tour bus stop. ( as of June 2022) Can recommend Mount Stewart on the shores of Strangford Lough which had amazing garden

Unsatisfied

Hamilton, Morag - 25/06/2022

When we arrived the emergency exit door was open. People on the site were using it for walking dogs etc. From the emails I received before arriving I was reminded to close gates and not to give the number to anyone. So much for security.Dog poos were to be found in the grass on several pitches.I was most disappointed with site MH2. It was suitable for an overnight but not for a 3 night holiday. No grass to put chairs on and stuck next to a fence and an emergency exit which was left open. I phoned the number quoted on the poster but the security person was unable to help. Our motorhome is only 5.5 metres and would have fitted in to any pitch. Other camper vans were allocated them.I thought you would like to see the motor home which was allocated pitch 9. What a strange way to park. I also attach a phone of my motor home as comparison.

Terrible place to camp.

Rik, Tiezema - 24/06/2022

Between a dual carriage way a playground and a circus you don't sleep much in a tent. You need for everything a digital code, the entry,, the toilets and so on. In shall be inherent on the city of Belfast. Campings uses you to give a feel g of freedom, not that you are prisoned between gates. But it shall be necessary, I cannot judge over that.Cleaning of toilets ands showers could be much better..

Beautiful location and lovely clean site

This is a really great wee caravan site. Secure and well run. The cafe at the entrance is so convenient and we were lucky to book the weekend that Tom Duffy’s Circus was there. Our grandson thoroughly enjoyed his weekend away with us.

Clean and efficient

Hayes, Kim - 21/06/2022

Easy site to access with clear instructions for entry, booking in etc. Perfect for an overnight stay for ferry. Clean toilets and showers and good quality of shower. No staff available to ask how to dispose of Gray water. Bistro staff were helpful. Short walk to Jordanstown for take away, restaurants and a pub. We found out about this from the bistro staff. Play park beside site.
