Great stop off to visit Belfast. Good, clean facilities and felt secure. Belfast itself NOT Motorhome friendly - only place to park (no height restrictions) is at The SSE (Odyssey) arena where there are barriers instead. Checked with parking attendant and he was happy for our van (6.4m) to park ‘next to the wall’. Also difficult to take dogs on public transport - v hit & miss, hence wanting to drive into the city. Having said that public transport options excellent from site. Restaurant Sozo nearby is dog friendly, albeit outdoor covered area.
Generally good alround. although we left a step behind! not there on return.
a very nice and clean camp site very well kept and all amenities tidy and clean, also very secure, and i will be coming back during the summerAndrew & Elizabeth Brown
Brilliant site kids love it with playpark next to it and free Wi-Fi for bedtime tv always enjoy going to Loughshore
We have used this park on numerous occasions in recent year and love the fact that it is central, easy to get to and small. We know that it isnt the quietest of sites and that's ok for us. The oitches are a good size and the park is well maintained. Each pitch is fully serviced so we have never had to use any of the park facilities. Our concern in our more recent visits is in regard to the security of the park. We have seen the park recently being used by groups of caravans who seem to share the gate code to provide access for others and this has at times created a significant safety concern. This is a good site but a simple improvement to access security, e.g. he introduction of a manned reception, or the use of a Registration Scanner so that only paying customers can gain access, would make a big difference. Once again, this is a lovely site, road noise and local play-park noise can be a problem, but a simply upgrade to access arrangements would help significantly.
Only complaint is lots of commercial vehicles arrived on site and were not removed by staff.
Lovely clean & accessible site and handy with the children's park outside.
Excellent location for ease of access to Belfast and closeness to port ,good facilities ,little bit noisy from road
We have stayed here previously and always love to return unfortunately this time around may have been our last. Park and staff absolutely fantastic and this review is not about them but more the fact that unfortunately there was 5 caravans from the travelling community in which only one had actually paid. They were overrunning the caravan park with their lorries work vans cars and dogs. My husband almost got run over due to their inconsiderate driving. Using the facilities the kids were coming up under the stalls whilst using the loos. The staff said unfortunately due to higher management they couldn't do anything about it and that if there was any issues to call 999. Such a shame as the park is beautiful. Having also heard that paying customers who were due to stay were cancelled as their space was occupied by these caravans yet people who had paid for their pitch electric didn't get the freebie that they were getting!
