Luxury Camping.

As soon as you enter the site it looks so welcoming, spotlessly clean, attractive planting and each pitch has plenty of room. The staff in the shop are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the new boutique pods, it was beautifully set out inside with everything you needed, beds made up plenty of towels and even a welcome pack for the kitchen holding, tea coffee milk sugar, tea towel, dish cloth and washing up liquid. On the veranda two chairs and a table with very attractive outside lighting. The facilities on site were excellent cleaned on a regular basis,a lovely play area for young children and an indoor amusement area with lots to keep the family busy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Higher Moor Farm to my family and friends.

Not what was expected

Disappointed with dog walking area - nowhere to exercise your dog. Friendly staff but not much choice of food in the shop, definitely not a farm shop. The walk to the nearest bus stop was not dog friendly and much further than expected.

Amazing Stay In A lovely part of the country

Hevicon-Nixon, Terrence - 12/09/2025

Return visit to this very pleasant part of the country and would not stay any where else other than Higher Moor site,What can I say the site its self is beautiful with tremendous views of surrounding country and so well maintained. The accommodation second to none having a family pod lodge clean modern private beautifully appointed and lovely bathroom defiantly a must and even harden campers who chatted too after a quick tour of the pod said their return visit will be pod based a change from their tents.See why its a five star site, amenities spotless from communal showers and toilets the great games room which is great fun. The onsite shop provides every thing you need and more and the big beer tent great fun chatting with other campers. Staff what can I say the manager Daniel so friendly and hospitable nothing too much trouble and this cascades down to all the team as they are all so approachable. A terrific, great, relaxing weekend and so close to many places of interestThank

Good campsite / could be a lot better / left the site a day early due to a lack of sleep

Hackett, Gerry - 08/09/2025

This campsite has some very nice parts showers , shop , bar and various food vans . However the tent pitches are not on any level ground and our not clearly marked out , just seems to be pitch your tent where you can and park your vehicle in any spot you can find . This site claims to have a quiet policy that starts from 10.00 pm . We were very unfortunate that on the weekend three families who were clearly not campers pitched next to us and proceeded to just let their children run on to everyone’s pitch and make as much noise as they liked . On the Saturday night the so called adults of the families decided to have some sort of a wine tasting party , and unfortunately the more drink they consumed the louder they became . We are fair and reasonable people and thought if we gave them until 11.30 they would follow the campsite rules, noted in the sites terms and conditions. However despite asking them to keep the noise levels down they Simply continued to be very inconsiderate to all .

First impressions

Squires, Charley - 06/09/2025

The farm was amazing and everything you needed for camping base. The staff were absolutely lovely and so welcoming, the shop had everything you needed. The weekend entertainment was such a hit especially Nina the singer, everyone from the camp seemed to come out to watch her and was full of good vibes! The food trucks which comes as well was such a good idea we had the pizza and that was lovely! Park was a great extra to have on site for the young child re to enjoy. The only thing I wouldn’t rate is the games room, I think that needs refreshing all games seem to be missing either the ball to play or a dice, and some of the electric games not working it just seems very run down that part of the camp and abandoned but I think with an update that could be a brilliant add on. Also showers by the washing up station need updating as the shower on the right had no hot water all weekend-it was ice cold!! But the shower block by the play barn was good I liked how big the shower cubicles whe

good experience

Dumitrescu, Monica - 04/09/2025

This was my first camping experience and overall it was good. The pitch we were assigned to, together with our friends (3 families and tents in total) was at the top left of the camp, behind the park, where the dog walk area is shown on the map. The manager who showed us to our pitch said we shouldn't have issues with dog walkers as there is no "official" dog area. Unfortunately we experienced many people taking their dog for "toilet" in front of our tent, where our kids were running and playing. Also, there is a big electricity pole right next to the camp which makes a loud noise. It's not bothering during day when people are out and about, children playing at the park, but once you go to bed, it's really loud, none of us slept more than a couple of hours in the first night because of it. The facilities are good, I was impressed by how clean the toilets and showers were, by evening they would get a bit messy, so better avoid the rush hours. Washing up stations were clean.
