Only 10 minutes from Weymouth we always enjoy staying here. The staff are friendly, the shop convenient, and the facilities are good. We get the electric hook up for camping and it makes all the difference and the cost is still very good value. We love Weymouth itself with its gorgeous sandy beach that stays shallow for ages so it also feels very safe. Would definitely recommend.
My first time camping in 40 years and the first ever time solo. The staff were very helpful and selected a spot for me near to the necessary facilities. The toilet block, washing up area, and laundry facilities were kept impeccably clean. Bins were emptied daily which eliminated pests such as wasps. Twice a week entertainment whereby mobile Pizza Oven and Bar facilities were brought on site creating a real cohesive atmosphere. Perfectly sited for nearby walks and within a 3 mile distance from major supermarkets such as, Sainsburys, Morrisons, and Aldi. Bus services also located just outside village for those wishing to leave their cars behind. My primary trip was to see old friends, but next year hope to return for longer to take in more of the local attractions. In short, this was a whim which turned into a great break!!!!
We were made welcome by your very friendly team and super pleased to pitch up on the lovely buckland site. The play park is great for kids of all ages, and is quite new I think.Toilets were cleaned everyday twice end the showers are hot and clean. We had a large flat and sheltered area to camp with power! Room for cars to park too. All went brilliantly, thank you!
Overall I thought the stay was lovely. The location is great and the Lodge was clean and tidy. We did have a mishap with wet cushions on our seats which had soaked through to the fold out bed in the living area. The Lady was very apologetic and offered us a free bottle of prosecco. I thought the kitchen had everything we needed except for a pair of scissors and the kettle was a little on the small side. But overall I enjoyed our stay and would recommend Higher Moor farm to anyone looking to visit.
A perfect size site for families with younger kids, good play area and clean wash/toilet facilities - hot showers! Farm shop has everything you need, and the Wednesday drinks/pizza pop up plus live music was great fun.Id expect to drive or cab into Weymouth, all easily done.Staff were fab, really helpful and accommodating - even when we arrived late on site (sorry about that, THANK YOU for seeing us in!)Would defo stay again :-)
Just awesome, clean and well kept facilities and very friendly staff
A brilliant place to stay excelent staff Daniel and Laura excellent people to deal with. The site is excellent wonderfull shop very helpfull polite wonderfull friends would not change Higher Moor Farm for anything pods are excellent and comfortable.
The site was clean, well maintained and well organised. The staff on site were all friendly and helpful. We were in a pod and it was well laid out and clean. If I ever come back to Dorset will certainly not hesitate to book here again.
This is the 5th visit now and never disappoints. We tried the new larger lodge which was great with older kids. Experience was amazing.
This site is good for large groups of family/friends looking for a fun filled holiday. There’s a large play area for kids and evening entertainment that blares loudly across the whole site until 9.30pm 3 nights a week. So not suitable if you have small children who would be in bed before 9.30pm or those after a quiet break. Groups of kids run around shrieking and running through tents and vehicles until 10.30pm. We generally prefer a quieter site. I feel the entertainment can have the volume turned down significantly to be enjoyed by those who want to partake without the rest of us having to hear it. Showers and facilities generally good although the soap dispensers don’t work in the green shower/toilet block. We camped with family and staff managed to get our pitches next to each other which we appreciated. We enjoyed being close to Weymouth and the beach. Location is good. Although the road leading to the site is narrow and not easy for caravans.
