Alles in beschrieben, sauber freundlich und perfekt organisiert
The manager made sure we was near disabled toilet. Has asked..wheelchair friendly..lovely farm shop polite staff.any issues it's sorted very well..well managed.
We were looking forward to staying at Higher Moor especially after seeing its “5 Star” status. We are quite experienced campers and have stayed on some amazing sites. Disappointing to say the least with regards to the toilet and shower facilities. They are fine if you want basic but they definitely shouldn’t have been advertised as 5 star award winning…I witnessed the Cleaner quickly skimming round each cubicle (no gloves and didn’t wash her hands afterwards)..they were still dirty when I used them afterwards. The showers were grotty due to the inefficient squeegee mop and poor housekeeping. The water temperature was temperamental and we had a few cold showers which wasn't ideal. Half way through our stay, the nearest toilet block was actually closed which was very disappointing seeing as our choice of pitch was influenced by proximity to be able to use the facilities. The other irritating aspect was the constant buzzing of the pylon! It made it hard to fall asleep.Location was great
Stayed for 4 nights, in our VW campervan, recommended by family who have a caravan permanently parked onsite, had a choice of 2 pitches (electric hook up) as the site was almost full but Daniel sorted out a pitch for us,Overall the site is very good with everyone pretty friendly, the staff led by Daniel are very welcoming and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble.Facilities are good with 2 blocks of toilets and showers of which the main block is absolutely spotless, possibly the cleanest toilets and showers we have used.Plenty of sinks for washing up with plastic washing up bowls, washing up liquid and brushes provided , On Saturday night there was entertainment in a large marquee near the reception and a Pizza van appeared for a couple of hours (I assume this is every Saturday) the Pizza 's were very good and reasonably priced.Plenty for children to do,lots of space, and a play area,Choice of pitches, and chalet homes around the perimeter.Site is good for explo
Family type camp nice facilities but not for us oldies Don't use the park and ride as suggested to us
Stayed here over the past few years and simply love it. Clean and well kept. All the staff are amazing , friendly and helpful. It’s a very relaxing site.
We were lucky enough to be the first family staying in the brand new deluxe 2+ cabins at higher moor.Couldn't recommend this campsite more.Cabin was perfect for 2 adults + 2(+) kids.Great features:-fully stocked and open kitchen- deck and a semi-enclosed garden with picnic table- shower with rainfall setting- very comfy mattress- campsite is 11 minutes drive from 4 different supermarkets and a McDonald's- campsite is 15-20 minutes drive from parking for Weymouth beach/centre- farm shop had a good mix of local produce and treats with great taste awards as well as all amenities you could need. The only (if I really had to pick one) negative - I couldn't see (or there isn't) recycling facilities. It's just a shame to put glass, cans etc in one bin bag for the big green bins around the campsite.Maybe it's sorted elsewhere, if so just needs a sign to explain. They do empty very frequently though.Would definitely be staying at higher moor again (in this or the o
My sister and I thought we had booked a site within walking distance of the sea. Sadly not. We were sited by the general maintenance area BUT this proved to be fortuitous as the site was very full and we had a quiet corner. All facilities were immaculate. The staff very warm welcoming and helpful. Our only complaint was we had booked for 3 nights, had informed the site we would be leaving after two nights well in advance of our stay. As yet we have had no response to our email and no refund. This maybe an oversight after a very busy weekend, we are hoping so.
It was a lovely clean site with lots of walk and not far from Weymouth.
I have stayed there a couple of times there now, staff are always pleasant and the facilities are kept very clean and tidy. Only downside is that its quite a walk to the nearest bus stop.
