Herdwick Croft Caravan Park is a beautiful park and has everything you need for a lovely break. All the staff were so polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a lovely Pizza and Beer in the Bistro, just what you need after a walk. The location is excellent with Keswick just 7 miles down the road. We stayed in the Ennerdale Lodge and it was absolutely beautiful, it had everything you needed. We would most definitely be booking again in the future.
We had a wonderful break in a beautiful location, in a lovely lodge with a Bistro on site. Lovely break but the only negative was reception was poor and we couldn’t hook up to Netflix - this normally wouldn’t matter but heavy rain forced us back to the lodge early. Would definitely recommend and we will return.
My wife & I had a good 4 night stay at the Herdwick retreat with our dog.The lodge has everything you need & more, we loved the hot tub & the shower was one of the best compared to any place we have stayed before.Never felt need to use log burner as underfloor heating was more than adequate, may use fire pit next time.Comfy bed, beautiful views & plenty of walks for our dog within a 30 minute drive.Just wish the bistro was open during our stay but it is out of season. We have just booked to return in December.
This was the best lodge we have ever stayed in and can’t wait to return. The park was so quiet, staff very friendly on arrival and throughout stay. Impressed the hot tub drained after each check out rather than just chemical checks. The lodge itself was perfect, very modern, clean and it had everything we needed, already recommended to family and friends and looking to book our next stay.
The lodge was lovely, it was like brand new and very clean. Lovely views, and probably , in my opinion, the best pitch on the site due to it overlooking Skiddaw. and having no neighbours either side of you. The Hot Tub was also lovely, very hot and clean. We will definitely be returning. The site it self was very quiet when we were there, but that is how i like it personally. For what I paid, i think it was really good value. It is rare you find a rental accommodation as clean as what this was, which makes you respect it even more
Enjoyed a relaxing girls weekend. Fab facilities, great location and beautiful lodge. Thank you.
Extremely clean with tasteful furnishings and a cozy feel home from home! Staff extremely friendly and quick to sort out any issues we had there were plenty of fresh towels although no shower gel shampoo etc and no welcome pack Amenities in walking distance ie local pub, railway carriages and several walks also 7 miles to Keswick We will return
We loved staying in the retreat pod with our dog, the design was spot on, it was well kitted out. We enjoyed the under floor heating and sound system. It felt warm and cosy when outside was stormy weather. Good to have wood stocked for the log burner. Hot tub was outside and sheltered so fun to be out and protected by the elements. Kitchen well equipped, although there was no oven and microwave oven was a bit tricky to use. Bed was really comfy. We spent the weekend driving in and out of Keswick, about 10 min drive. Tried out different cafes for lunch and a few pubs all in the area plus there’s a booths. Would have been great to have more than one loo roll and dishwasher tablet and there were no coffee pods for machine but I asked host and she kindly gave me some pods. However machine didn’t work. Have already recommended and would love to return.
Brilliant stay from start to finish couldn't fault it ,didnt want to leave ,cant wait to visit again .
