Disappointed

Ward, Leslie - 31/10/2025

We were unable to use our booked pitch as our motorhome was undriveable. We contacted the site to cancel our pitch but did receive any response nor a refund. Felt very disappointed as it was due to circumstances out of our control

Brilliant place and owners

Hodgson, Scott - 29/10/2025

The place is great to stay at, next launch site at Bassenthwaite lake. Pros: - The views are amazing, - Quiet site - Owners are lovely. - plenty of space around your touring caravan Cons: - Toilets and showers weren't cleaned whilst there for a week. - Onsite restaurant/bar needs regular opening times written on a sign.

Welcome break in stunning location

Higgin, Catherine - 21/10/2025

We were on service pitch1 and had a few issues with ehu I rang the number for help and left a message, no response. Luckily our lead was long enough to stretch to another stand and as there were no other units no problem. Again on the Wednesday power failed again and I called the help number, again no response, so we moved the lead to another unit which was fine. I know it’s low season and there were very few campers but in view of the fact there is no one available on site I think it would help if calls were answered or at least a return call to help with problem solving. The facilities are adequate but the showers were lukewarm warm on day one then just cold.I took photos of the pitches I would use next time we visit rather than the service pitches at the top of the hill which we had difficulty levelling up, so found where we want to be next time. The location is beautiful but without the bistro being open you have to be completely self sufficient or be prepared to drive out.

Clean and Cosy

Stopforth, Sue - 10/10/2025

5

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in Ennerdale Lodge. It was October, however the Lodge was warm throughout our stay. The addition of the hot tub was a luxury that made the stay that little bit more luxurious and delightful after a day walking on the fells. The site itself is ideally positioned with plenty to see and do within a maximum 15 minute drive. We would highly recommend!

Lovely stay

Wilson, Rachel - 08/10/2025

This was our second stay at Herdwick Croft. This is an ideal base for us as we do lots of hiking. The hot tub at the end of the day was is lovely. The lodges have everything you need. Staff are very friendly and lodges are very clean. We stayed in overwater last year which o have to be honest we preferred due to the location and privacy. We felt a bit over looked this time especially in the hot tub. Also we had 3 whole days of no internet, this didn’t worry me but my husband likes to plan our hikes etc the night before. We would definitely stay again as it is a lovely place and great value for money.

Woodland boutique

Cowan, John - 07/10/2025

4

Relaxing location with wonderful countryside views from the double patio doors . The double lay flat hot tub was superb , property was clean and well presented, if the kitchen had a microwave, and the bed had a bedside cabinet, I would have given it five stars instead of four , but I would certainly stay there again.

Lovely Stay

Laxton, Bernadette - 07/10/2025

Had a lovely few days here in a hot tub lodge. We wanted to extend our stay but were told they were fully booked. Disappointing for us but good to know that even at this time of year the place is full. Would consider staying here again next time we visit Keswick as a short bus ride to the town.
