A well supervised Wonderful site, plenty of space fantastic views. Quite a walk from the top of the hill to showers toilets which are spotless. Herdwick willies bar restaurant a great addition. Easy access to lake.
This is one of the best kept campsites we have stayed on. We had a wonderful weekend with a birthday tea in the bistro. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate happy birthday wishes and cake. The food was superb in the bistro and although it was very busy the time service was pretty amazing. We will certainly be coming back to stay with you. 😁😁😁😁😁
Overall site was tidy and well kept. New bar is excellent and terrace area very welcoming.Toilet & shower block clean and ok but could do with some refreshing / updating. It is also quite a long way from premium, touring pitches and top field camping area and another facilities block would have given 5 stars. Quite a lot of bikers camping over weekend and seemed to use their noisy bikes to visit facilities?Overall I think we would visit again for short break.
A really lovely campsite with well manicured and level pitches. The fairly new bistro is a fantastic addition and was a welcome area to congregate to eat and drink with friends! My only question (and not even really a criticism) is why is the toilet block positioned relatively “far” away from the camping pitches? Likely due to available space but it’d have made the site pretty much perfect if they’d been closer Thanks for having us!
This was our 2nd stay in "Buttermere Luxury Holiday Lodge". We love it! It's always thoroughly clean throughout! Just hope all guests will continue to respect and look after the lodge for us all to enjoy. The hot tub is amazing! The added bonus to the holiday park is a new bar and bistro. The menu at the moment is currently minimal but we never planned on too many meals there anyway given the lodge had a fully equipped kitchen! We did have pizza at the bistro one night and it was delicious!. The lodge and holiday park is dog friendly and it's pleasant to be able to walk your dog around. The surrounding area is stunning and it's a couple of minutes walk to the beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake. It's about a 10 min drive into Cockermouth and about 15 min drive to Keswick. A visit to Bassenthwaite Lake Station is a must!, it's a cafe and a restored railway station with a full size replica steam train!.We would definitely recommend a stay at Herdwick Croft 100%.
Site was clean and tidy with friendly staff. Toilet block was clean. Bistro and Bar good food maybe the menu could do with extending.A small shop would be handy ,but only a minor problem. Will visit thesite again.
Lovely quiet site, lovely clubhouse, really good that dogs werent allowed in the actual clubhouse.Toilet very cleanLovely viewsWill definatley ey rwturn
Would be back some time the man was very helpful
Loved the campsite, especially the view from our pitch at the top of the field. My only comment is that as it was our first visit, and our first camping trip in our van, a site map would have been helpful. There is a toilet emptying site at the top of the field, but we only found out about it because we heard someone mention it.
