Very friendly and helpful staff
Well set out really well an amazing welcome escorted to pitch On the beach nxt to the lakeAll the fecilitys were spotless and like new We will defernitly be back
This site is of a very high quality. It is well laid out with level well spaced pitches. The play park (we didn't use it) looked excellent and the dog park was fenced in with agility games for the dogs. The toilet block couldn't be better, it was spacious and very clean. The ELSAN point was the best I have ever seen with a stainless steel emptying point, a mop and bucket for any spills, a spray tap and a basin to wash your hands. 10 minutes level walk to a superb beach which is 1/2 for dogs and the other half dog free so great for everyone.
Perfect site good space clean facilities loved It looking forward to going back
Location was amazing. Good facilities & very clean. The only downside was the disabled shower facility, the water doesn’t drain very well with all the floor getting wet so not easy to find somewhere to get yourself dry. However it did not spoil our stay.
We came here at the beginning of June and the site is very well maintained, the toilets and showers was lovely and clean. I think it was good value for money, and the lake being right next to the site is a bonus if you like wild swimming or paddle boarding. The town is really close, just a few minutes in the car and we eat out at a lovely pub, ( there's a few dotted around ) there's plenty of shops ect.We also went on the steam train which was good as it broke the day up a bit when the weather got a bit iffy, The only thing I didn't like was how close the kids park was to the main entrance. But apart from that everything was perfect. Will definitely be returning.
Lovely campsite, all the other campers were friendly which means they were happy too, the onsite shop is small but well equipped with the things you may have forgot that you didn’t even realise (bathed the dog before we left home and forgot to put her collar back on) not a problem on our stay they sold them there, they also have a fridge with local produce and the minted lamb burgers were to die for!!! We went back the second night to buy more. Showers were lovely and warm. Very clean. This is a perfect site for families like us that don’t want the busy clubhouse etc its basic but not too basic, we just wanted a campsite with a great atmosphere, a fire, and a lake to paddleboard with a hot shower and this site had just that, bonus dog park and kids play area as you come in but it really doesn’t need anything more. Staff are friendly and very helpful, we didn’t get chance to go walking but I believe there are fantastic walks and can’t wait to try them next time
Lovely site in a great location and had a great pitch by the lake. Only draw back is just one grey waste which causes queues on check out day.
Great experience, I left my hook up cable, they didn't hesitate to assist me at nobcosr
We stayed on the premium motorhome pitches which were brilliant, plenty of space and a fabulous view across the lake. We had direct access for paddle boarding which was one of the reasons for choosing the site. Great facilities, plenty of showers and toilets, all immaculately clean. Great shop on site. We used the local bus to go the pub in the next town and had excellent service from the bus driver who picked us up and dropped us off at the site entrance on the main road. He was extremely helpful as were the ladies on site at check in.Had a great time, would definitely return and recommend to others.
