To compliment the facilities there is also a special Woodland Nature Trail 'Ballyronan Wood' which through specific pathways, viewpoints and information signage highlights the natural beauty of the area.

One of our favourite caravan sites. Very friendly reception. A big bonus is having a Chinese takeaway and a super pub (Hawthorns) close bt!
Welcoming staff available all day.Excellent facilities well kept.Would have been useful to have barrier code and site number before arrival.Would like to have seen better recycling facilities.Great local walks and excellent shop and café in the village.
I was very pleased with this site, the facilities are spotless, pitches level and staff were pleasent and helpful. It's close to the village which has shop, pubs and hot food outlets, There are nice walks on the lough shore and through the woods as well, There's a large well equipped play area for kids ,overall it's a lovely place with a lot to offer.
On arrival staff were friendly,no problem there. The surrounding area etc were as expected considering the poor weather.Unfortunately the toilet and shower facilities were more than disappointing in the cleanliness department…laughingly there was ‘cleaning in progress’yellow board erected the whole time we were there…there was clearly a shower drainage problem as well as lack of cleaning.
Beautiful area, play ground brillant
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The facilities are brilliant showers and toilets were spotless. The village has everything you need from Chinese food to everyday essentials. Had a few drinks in the pub as it was the hottest day of the year. Can't wait for our next visit.
Was given a great pitch in the sun by the supervisor and enjoyed the last of the summer sun.
Unfortunately my first visit to the Caravan Park coincided with the first grey wet day for ages and the presence of Cyanobacteria on the Lough. This combination resulted in a disappointing view of sad boats and wildlife floating in a stagnant sea of green with no blue sky to lift the scene. There was also an unpleasant gassy smell from the algae which I had to breathe in for 24hrs. I had chosen online a 'Top site' which turned out to be a repurposed high level carpark separate from the caravan site in the trees-this meant I had a view over the Marina and floating pods from my van,but be aware that there are no signs to keep the general public out of this area during the day,so cars can freely come and go around you which was a little odd. Thankfully a barrier is pulled across after dark. The staff on site are friendly and helpful and keep the main areas tidy with regular litter picking.Would definitely consider revisiting when the toxic algae problem is resolved.
Good clean shower and toilet block. No real kitchen facilities like at other places
Very friendly staff and took time to explain the codes etc even though we've stayed numerous times. The weather makes it very pleasant for bbq and short wood land walk .The Chinese take away was very handy after arriving late evening on 1st night.
