Saw one member of staff during my two day stay and he was extremely friendly and helpful. Location quiet, no restaurants nearby open, however a cafe on site.Walks well kept and pleasant to dander around, especially the Marina. Sad that no boats available to hire for a tour of the lake.Toilet block clean, however there was an odour on entering. Perhaps a small window left open would eliminate this.To conclude, this site is well suited for families and those wanting a peaceful staycation in Northern Ireland.

As a family we loved our time at ballyronan. The toilets and showers were spotless and loved how they were locked at all times. The park was very tidy and the staff were very helpful and very friendly to talk to . We really enjoyed the woodland walk with our dog and enjoyed our time on our paddle board. The park is very handy to bars and a shop etc witch is great .

Overnight camping 6 June

Mullin, David - 13/06/2022

The grassed pitch was spotless with a wall nearby to shield from any cold wind off the water. We pitched in a cosy corner of the big site, under shady trees. There was a picnic bench nearby, with water and a bin close at hand. Undercover barbeque facilities adjacent which we didn't use. My partner and I were on a circuit of the Lough on our ebikes, kitted out for basic camping. It was important that we had access to power to recharge batteries, and since our pitch didn't have an EHU, the friendly staff in the office very kindly arranged this for us and advised on other camping options on our route, and the chippy for food a short walk away. The ablutions were clean and in very good condition, with plenty of hot water for showers. In the late afternoon we walked through the woods and around the scenic marina, and popped in for a snack at the little tea room. There was no problem with flies which can be around at this time of the year. The price was fair and the value was very good.

First visit to Ballyronan

Neilson, Sara - 10/06/2022

Met on arrival by the friendly warden who gave us clear information about the site facilities and our allocated pitch. Each caravan pitch is good sized hard standing with space for a car and caravan, well spaced out with electric hookup and good grass area around. The facilities are well appointed and very clean with good hot free showers. The caravan site is located at the lovely marina, lots to watch and nice walks. There is great access to the water for kayaks and paddle boards. The little village of Ballyronan is a 5 minutes walk and has shops and eateries, and Magharafelt only a 10 minute drive. A lovely small and friendly caravan site and we will definitely be back.

My concerns: no keypad gate into canavan site to stop people driving in.

Teague, Ann Marie - 10/06/2022

My concerns are: no keypad on gate to stop people driving in around site. No waste pipes beside canvan and no water pipes too. I have been to a number of site but this is one place that has no water pipe beside canavan. I did close the gate one night because of the car park ( noise from cars) as the gate was not closed the other nights I was there.
