Good for Inverness sights, excellent for Cullodden.

Friendly staff, fairly quiet, beware when you are a bit handicaped as upper level is quite steep. Could do with a few more places to leave towels and washbags. Overall nice.

Complete and clean with lots of additional services

We loved staying here after having seen some examples where we won't like to come again. Here everything felt like a level higher, well thought of and comforting. Overall clean and easy to use. Only the showers could take a longer interval, it was annoying having to press the butten every 4 seconds.

We stayed here for one night and it was totally unexpected, the staff couldn’t do enough for you and although to some it seems pricey and uncalled for we treat ourselves to a private shower/toilet for our stay which turned out to be great value for money. It’s something completely different to what other campsites are offering and it is a great idea! Before we left we went to buy milk, unfortunately they did not have any but the kind lady gave us a cup of hers so we could have a coffee…it’s the little touches that make a huge difference x

A well maintained and situated site

Riddell, Sharon - 07/06/2026

This was our third visit to Ardtower and is very central to access places nearby. Just a couple of comments, first being the dog daily charge, not sure what this is for as apart from a bin and a very small run there is not any other facilities. The second being the shower block (female), on one occasion 4 toilets had no paper. The paper towel dispenser was empty apart from once. Some toilets also left in an unacceptable state. Although children should be accompanied this is not always the case - do appreciate how difficult this is to maintain.

Stayed for The Gathering Festival, great music, food and drink (weather could have been better but didn’t spoil our fun). Site with great views of Moray Firth. Very Tidy Site. Onsite facilities excellent. Toilets, showers and wash up facilities well maintained and very clean. Staff polite, friendly, helpful, efficient and professional. Site is very quiet and peaceful but also not too far from town centre. Great onsite cafe and pizza takeaway was superb. Have stayed in the area before so can highly recommend Rocpool restaurant. Would highly recommend this site and would return without a doubt. Thank you for a lovely stay. Hope to see you again.
