Great site

Carey, Alan - 25/04/2025

Staff were very helpful and accommodating from arriving. They even arranged us moving over to a fully serviced plot, when I had mistakenly booked one with only water. The toilet facilities are fantastic and the best I’ve ever used in the uk. The whole area was very clean, quiet and well looked after. It was also great that we could access facilities like swimming pool, gym, solarium etc. at Auchinlarie a few miles down the road, where the staff were also very friendly and helpful. Well done.

Lovely dish washing area and shower/toilets (and even the option of a bath !! Nice touch !)Gatehouse of fleet is a small town but friendly and welcoming 😊This is a pure gem of a site, especially if you want small, fairly secluded and quiet We will definitely be back!! Keep up the good work !

Welcoming

Fraser, Tom - 21/04/2025

Lovely welcome on arrival. Great location on edge of a beautiful little town. Facilities are immaculate. Plenty of walks from the site and particularly enjoyed the Mill on the Fleet visitor centre, museum and cafe. Had a great meal at the Masonic Arms and enjoyed a drink at the Ship Inn. When I return, I would request a unit that looks onto the grassy area - that is the only thing that would improve my visit. Very good value for money.

Great location & facilities

On the edge of Gatehouse of Fleet, a lovely village with good cafes, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Great quiet cycling lanes in most directions and beautiful coastline. Site is quiet and pleasant with a central grassed area with HSE pitches on edge with statics around outside. Facilities are excellent particularly the showers, and spotlessly clean.

Good Site

Stuart, David - 18/04/2025

Very well located site with large level pitches and the finest toilet/shower facilities I've ever encountered. The site is kept in great condition by the very friendly site manager. The pitch we had was in a row of alternating concrete and gravel which was functional rather than aesthetically pleasing. Grass or some planting would improve this. The town has 4 pubs, mostly directed towards eating rather than drinking. 1 has excellent real ale but at almost twice the price of the area average. Overall a pleasant couple of days.

First time stay , made to feel like a local

Robson, George - 17/04/2025

Stayed here for a week and can't rate our stay high enough . All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful from the wardens sorting us out with a great pitch and local information about gatehouse to the lads cutting the grass and working on the site maintenance. I think the toilets are the best and cleanest I've seen on any site . Down to the cleaners and the thoughtful design of them (never a problem getting a shower ) . Can't wait to comeback to a lovely part of the country ,just wish I lived closer .

Immaculate location

McFadyen, Pat - 15/04/2025

At first view , Anwoth is a small site for tourers and it is , but that is more than made up for by it's spotlessly clean park, amazing shower block , it's proximity to so many wonderful restaurants and nature trails and parks ... but one thing, well two things , make it even better .. the wardens , Richard and Linda they both are examples of top class customer service and care. I truly can't say anything negative about the site , we have been several times and will certainly be back again .. well worth a visit.

Excellent site

Holloway, Keith - 30/03/2025

Friendly site in a lovely little town that's walking distance for all amenities, we have camped for many years and we was very impressed with the toilet and shower facilities, very modern and clean, we had a hard standing pitch which included electric hook up and your own water supply, I would say that it's more suitable for people without children as there is no playing area but that suited us fine, we will definitely be back for a nice peaceful time
