"Good base"

Good area as a base. top shower block runs scalding hot then cold. Terrible. Reported but no change 10 days later when we left. Bottom shower block not scalding but very low water pressure. Expensive site for the facilities there.

Spacious sites with great wifi. 5* cleanliness & neatness. 8 - 10 mins walk to town centre. Nice tea rooms, cafes & shops. Local Co-op for groceries. Loads of walks nearby. And, loads of activities nearby including the Steam Train, Aviemore and many more. A bit noisy at the moment (August 2018) due to building works being carried out. Peaceful at night though. We really like this site so I hope it doesn't outprice itself. At £35 per night, it is on the expensive side.

Glad we weren't in part that had kids play area- very noisy, but appreciate it will suit families. Our pitch was ok but was overlooked by large leylandii trees, which added to poor weather made it feel particularly dull. We were only staying 2 nights so little point trying to change. Was also disappointed in the town- seemed tired & in need of a revamp, compared to other areas we visited ie Melrose, Newcastleton. Overall xpcted a bit more for the price paid, but have to accept peak season & need to charge a premium. Around £30 a night appears to be becoming the norm, including the clubs, which is a bit steep.

The site is ideally located to go visiting tourist destinations in the North, East, West and South of Grantown on Spey. Grantown itself is a wonderful town with lots to see and heaps of places to eat. There is also a very nice swimming in the town.
