"We stayed as it was at the end of snow road"

Anonymous - Stayed with family, Feb 2020

Booked last minute on line and received a complimentary phone call informing us of poor accessibility of site as it had been snowing quite bad. Snow and ice on site appeared worse than our drive up to it but team tried to keep the site clear..need more grit around site... This site is well equipped for children with amazing toddler bathroom which includes a raised bath with hand held shower head, wooden structure play area with thick bark floor and smooth tarmac safe roads for cycling, scooters and running around. Only one negative is the ground staff who do an amazing job at keeping the site immaculate (seriously good job) but they drive round way in excess of the speed limit and at dangerous speeds. This is particularly bad in gold circle area as their car comes to toilet block like it’s the Dukes of Hazard! I have commented to wardens on more than one occasion and they are aware of it also. It is not evident that site owner is actually doing anything about it. Shop on site has a small and basic supply of emergency items only but you are very close to town so you can walk to shops there. The wardens are generally good but top credit goes to Volker who is a legend. One of the nicest people around who is positive, helpful, friendly and adds a warm welcome feeling to your stay. The place gets busy so you need to book early but this is a regular haunt for us moreso in the winter months and will stay on our itinerary for years to come.

Had pitch of choice, bonus. There was about 8 other camping vehicles so site blissfully quiet. Everything was immaculate. The toilet/shower block was also nice and warm which was great in cold weather. The cleanliness pleased me a lot. We walked to town for dinner, about a 10 minute stroll and there were a couple of choices. Can’t wait to go back ...a great all year round site.

"Lovely first visit to Grantown"

K Malcolm - Stayed with family, Jan 2020

We visited Grantown on our first trip away in our caravan. Despite it being a cold January day, the kids loved the play park. The toilets/showers exceptionally clean and underfloor heating made it lovely and cosy. Nice walk into town for shops etc. We will be back.
