I love this caravan park,its quiet,peaceful with plenty to do lots of walks in all directions shops nearby a cafe and a restaurant onsite.the lough has the boats, ducks and Swans to feed, a great play park for children. The people are all friendly I go regularly so have made friends who also camp there.the only problem I have is the office is unattended and its not clear who to ring if you have a problem my electric went of once I rang several numbers with no response I went up to the office up at the main building but again they dont have any connection to the caravan park it so happened a man in the office new someone that might be able to get me help it took a few hours but an electrician did turn up and fixed my problem.im a woman in my 60's and usually on my own or have my 10yr old grand-daughter with me so I would like to be able to contact someone if there are any problems apart from that I am happy to go there several times per year

We found ourselves feeling quite nervous as there were a number of caravans parked in the grounds but not in the actual site .How is this allowed to happen ?

Great site to stay all we needed hop to be back again this year

Ideal for visiting the castle and gardens. Right by the shores of Lough Neagh. Lovely cafe on the shore. Play park for the kids. Gardens are something else. Lovely cafe in the gardens too. Really handy for Antrim with all the amenities. The facilities are clean and tidy. The showers are lovely and warm. Entry is coded. Only criticism is the local caravan brigade camped up both inside and outside and using all the facilities. Late at night cars driving in and out of the park at speed. Last time I visited, this wasn't the case and it was a great place to stay. If this was dealt with, it would have been 10's all the way.

We have always loved this site but it was ruined by other caravanners this trip.. one van had a mound of rubbish including dirty used nappies, old mop buckets etc sitting around it, the men’s toilets were actually blocked one day , various pitches had large utility vehicles coming and going and it was intimidating.. it did not have a family feel any more and we felt unsafe and even walking up to the toilets we felt we had to secure our Motorhome so we felt on edge the whole time .. so so disappointing .. there was even a huge “ horse box” on site being used as a “ van” with many occupants and two tents besides.

We love sixmile water site, facilities and location. However due to the current situation of unpaid guests taking pitches off paid customers this caused us a lot of stress leading up to our arrival fearing we would not get our holiday as they were on our pitches. Fortunately we were able to get on our pitches as the unpaying guests were moved to grass area opposite us. Although there were no major issues we had to listen to their generator all night disturbing sleep. I would not return to the site until this is all resolved.

Very pleasantly surprised. I only live 40 minutes away and my wife wasn’t keen but I went ahead and booked anyway. We were both very happy there for two nights. Clean well kept level site with immaculate level tarmac pitches . Totally adequate facilities cleaned regularly. It was the green surroundings and lovely walk along the river via the castle gardens into town that lifted us! A lovely short break but could also be a nice base for a longer stay for those exploring NI.

I love staying here due to proximity to castle gardens, Antrim town centre and the junction. Just disappointed that there are never any staff on site any more.
