A good site for families. Some small issues 1 the shower temperature was too warm for a small child. 2 the refuge bins need clearer instructions to place waste. 3 no one was on duty Mon to Friday. So local info was limited. However will stay again in the future.
We and our grandchildren enjoyed our short break at Six Mile Water Caravan Park, the caravan park is well looked after, and there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.
We were camping at the back of the site and at night there was no lighting throughout the site to walk to the toilets, plus we are paying for the facilities wile there when there is a travelling community parked in the car park and using the same facilities for nothing, my child was in the bathroom when they come and put their shoulder to the door scaring the life out of my child, not very happy with this l.
We were in a tent and the campground was situated in a nice park and extremely good valu for money. The only 2 things that stopped me from giving it a 5 star review was that the toilets & facilities, at the entrance, are way far too far the tent area which is at the other end of the campground and really long walk, especially during the night if you need to go to the toilets so for that one I would put, at least 2 or 3 portaloos next to the tents as they are the people who need it more than those in Caravans who have their own toilets. And the other thing was that it is next to a golf course that maw its lawn and greens veery morning around 7 am with their noisy tractors...
we found the park clean and well maintained - the toilets / showers clean and maintained - the surrounding area - lough shore the river walk and antrim castle gardens providing an area of beauty with birds and other small animals - the blue / green algae was disappointing to see as such a large body of water affected with this environmental disaster
very pleased with the site set up, every utility that you need with a spacious pitch, the site is very well maintained and utility,s are spotless, location is walking distance to Antrim town centre where you can find bars, restaurants and pretty much anything else you should need there are beautiful grounds to walk and explore in Antrim castle gardens and clotworthy house aswell as long walks along tge river and lough neaghrecommend this site C MacDonald
Continue, their mess was cleaned daily by them using ,starting a fire to control the mess they had left. I did not expect this when I approached the site and would have been prepared to go elsewhere to continue my holidays. I feel the site lacks control from your department ie an employee who can control this intrusion towards your site. Have the police been informed of this incident if they did I did not see them approach the site at any time. At night their music was loud and indiscriminate across the site. I have been at this site on prior occasions, enjoyed the peace and quiet that this site produces by good manners from other caravanners and no nonsense from them. It was a pity as on this occasion I was looking forward to my stay at this site. I will consider if I will return to six mile water in the future.
Excellent caravan Park with great facilities.
Has not been as tidy as usual.around bins and in general
