Windfarm Park

4.5 (28 reviews)

Windfarm Park is in a very quiet and secluded rural location; situated on our 140 acre farm. The park offers pitches for touring caravans, motor homes and tents. Onsite there is a large well stocked fishing lake and several miles of private walks around the farm offering guests the opportunity to observe the extensive local wildlife.

In a rural location, Windfarm Park offers grass pitches with or without electrical hook ups for caravans, camper vans & large tents.

Drinking water points are situated throughout the Park. There is a small playground for children. We have a large modern heated shower block

with free hot showers. Additionally there are disabled/family toilets & showers with baby changing facilities & an under cover food preparation & washing up area with laundry sinks. There are also sockets for hair driers. A chemical disposal point is situated next to the waste and recycling bins. Excellent fishing is available (free for children) in the onsite lake. Bring your bikes – we are at the foot of the Wolds and it is so flat that you can cycle all day! There are many quiet back lanes to explore. Don’t forget your binoculars as sometimes the loudest noise here comes from the birds. Neighbouring farmers have provided areas of wetland habitat to encourage wading birds and wildfowl. The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust runs many educational events during the summer, many aimed at children. They have a visitor centre at Gibraltar Point, just south of Skegness and have other nearby reserves at Snipe Dales and Freiston Foreshore. Quiet beaches (sometimes deserted) can be found 10 minutes south of Skegness at Gibraltar Point or further up the coast beyond Ingoldmells. The nearest pub is the Old Chequers Inn at Croft about 1.9 miles away.

We welcome well behaved pets.

Our second stay here with the caravan! It's a great site. Quiet, lovely setting and nice walks for the doggies! Handy for the coast! It was very hot, but some lovely shaded spots to sit! Great owners! Friendly, and visited regularly to check all ok! Will definitely return! My only tiny criticism would be the Elson point needs a clean!!!

Very friendly owners with good local knowledge. I realise it’s low season with low occupancy but toilet block not regularly cleaned but did not distract from overall good experience

Moto camping one night stay.

Arrived at 13:15, checked in and told the code to the shower block and also where to pitch, all within 2 minutes of arriving. I'm on my motorbike and the entrance is gravel, but stick to the compacted parts and it's no problem. The site is clean, very spacious, peaceful and secluded. Shower block was clean with very hot water. Also two sinks to clean pots etc, again with very hot water.Lovely little walk around the lake too, there is a lot of poo but there's plenty of wildlife there, so it's expected. You can hear the wind turbines but it's not intrusive, and i think helped me off to sleep.Co-Op 5 minutes away to grab the bits you swore you packed :)Overall a great site and will be returning.

We returned here this year as we enjoyed it so much last year. We will definitely return again. Tim is very helpful and can’t do enough for you to make you feel welcome. The site is very clean, well maintained and in great order. There is plenty of country walks to go on straight off of the site with plenty of access. The fishing lake is a Great Lake with plenty of very well kept fish in stock. It’s also close to Skegness and local pubs. Pitches have loads of room and electric hook up is available on most. Windfarm park is definitely one to put on your list.

Absolutely beautiful site, toilets was really clean and the people thay own it was so lovely and welcoming. One of the best sites we have stayed on and will defiantly be returning. The fishing lake was also great had some really big fish in there. Thankyou for a great stay. Only downfall is no local shop so a little pop up shop would be ideal but not a major thing
