Jockhedge Touring Site

Gill, Rosemary & Dave - 04/12/2024

5

We have had a fully serviced seasonal pitch on Jockhedge touring site for the past ten years and looking forward to year 11 in 2025. We call it our second home and have to say we never get bored of the beautiful surroundings at Jockhedge including the well stocked fishing lake a bonus for my fisherman hubby, grounds and site are kept immaculate by Liam and his staff, shower block and laundry room are kept spotless, lots of lovely walks around both of the lakes, our little dog Lottie loves it. Burgh le Marsh village(although corrected it is a town but small enough to be a village) is a short walk away and has everything we require a co-op supermarket, Spar grocery shop, Bakers and coffee shop, Chinese takeaway, The Lakes Retaurant and 5 local pubs(The Red Lion being our favourite). Jockhedge is an ideal site/base for you holiday with Skegness etc just 5 miles away. The owners Karen and Liam are lovely alongside Jill in Reception they are all so friendly and helpful.

A wonderful stay at The Pine.

Allen, Elaine - 03/12/2024

Unfortunately my husband was unable to go with me and our friend. We only met Liam but had spoken with Karen, both (owners) were extremely helpful and pleasant, especially as we had to change our dates due to my husband's illness. Thank you so much! The pine was a lovely cottage with all kitchen crockery, cutlery and utensils as well as the normal kitchen small appliances. There was plenty of drawer and wardrobe space as well as robes available.Jockhedge was well positioned for visiting, Lincoln, Louth and Boston and was just up the road from Skegness. Being November the weather was mixed but it didn't stop us having a nice break and my goodness did I need it!

Lovely little property for a re-union with friends

Chalmers, Frances - 08/11/2024

5

Property met all our requirements. Beds fantastically comfortable. The bed linen of good quality. Bathrooms were lovely too. Plenty of walks locally too. Only little niggles would be the outer fridge door has come away from the inner fridge door, which was awkward with 5 of us milling about. Sofas required clever use of the cushions to avoid sliding forward. These are small niggles and overall the accommodation was excellent.

Excellent site

Vallis, Clive - 19/10/2024

5

We stayed at Jockhedge for 11 nights but wish it could have been longer. The site is extremely well maintained with everything you need. The staff were all very friendly, inviting and very helpful. The pitches are a good size, fully serviced, level and well spaced out. They have two lakes which make enjoyable walks around. The site is set well back from the road so you are not disturbed by any traffic noise. The location is ideal for accessing beaches and other attractions. There are plenty of eating facilities in the nearby village. We certainly intend to stay again at Jockhedge in the near future and would highly recommend it. We have added this site to our favourites list!

Chill Out Break

Holt, Susan - 16/10/2024

Found the site and went into Reception and we were really pleased when we saw The Dairy. There was everything you needed for your use. We had a lovely relaxing break and it was good because there was loads of walks for our dog, I think he slept for two days when we got home to recuperate. It was also very handy that we could hire a mobility scooter for my husband and he could then come with us on our walks. We even found our way to the village itself for a look around. So overall we had a great stay the only iffy bit was it took me until the Friday to find the folder on how to use the microwave but that was my fault. I also couldn't find any information on the hob but the lady in reception kindly came over and showed me how to use it. As it was getting cold at nights the cottage was quite cold of an evening, the warmest room was the shower room. Although I was fine, my husband had to wrap up in extra cardigans and jumper. However, a lovely time was had. Thanks.

Although the weather wasn’t great for the first 2 days, when my husband went fishing he was overwhelmed with how the lake and surrounding area was kept. It was a very pleasant site to stay and we will definitely be there again. Everything thing was lovely and you can’t say that about many sites.😄😄
