Beautifully laid out and well kept groundsToilets, showers and campers kitchen spotless and lots of extras we didn’t expect Host was helpful and friendly Lovely walks around the farmIdeal for a quiet stay and great location, 5 min drive to Eden campDefinitely planning to return and would give more than 5 stars if we were able to
Beautiful site. Well looked after. Check in super easy. Pitches immaculate and plenty of room. Super dog friendly. Showers and toilets super clean and fresh smelling. Hot water a nice touch in washing up area. We will definitely be back again.
I booked this as we needed a campsite near flamingo land so the fact it was a brilliant site was a massive bonus! I’m assuming it’s ran by people who understand camping and camping with young children. We camped as two families, in campervans with 2 children each (5 & 8). Everything from check in to facilities, the site itself to the animals round and about, it’s all great. The showers/toilets/washing up facilities were great, clean, hot water etc etc. the fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave all provided is such a nice touch. The site is laid out so the pitches are grouped in smaller groups so although there’s plenty of pitches it feels really spacious and private. There’s a small park with a play house that is thoughtfully planned, no swings (not adult required to push 🤣). The play kitchen in the washing up area was a massive hit. Thank you so much for a great stay, we’ll definitely be back maybe not back to flamingoland but we’ll be back to stay at Wyse Farm!
Really nice site - very helpful staff, great facilities - really well maintained grounds and amenities.
We had very nice quiet stay. Ruth was very helpful and lent us an electric cable. The site was very well equipped with plenty of things in the kitchen area if you forgot anything. The showers were very good. Our entire stay was excelent.
Lovely site on a working farm. Easy to find and well set out pitches. Very friendly staff and super clean facilities. Chalkboard with names and pitch numbers as you arrive and very thoughtful touches such as a a lead outside the toilets for dogs if you’re on your own. Great dog walk directly off the site where you can let them off the lead. 25 minute walk, with paths, into Old Malton to the Royal Oak pub - great food and hosts. Try the South African menu - fantastic. Sadly, the walk to old Malton along the river has been stopped - by permission only now. Also, Eden Camp - the WWII museum - is 15 mins walk away - they allow dogs - well worth a visit. Lovely little site, we will be back!
This was my second stay in the shepherd's hut, and just as good as the first! The owners are fantastic hosts and have thought about every detail; it's a wonderful place to stay. We walked from the campsite to Castle Howard this time, and along the river to the Royal Oak in Old Malton for a lovely meal; great South African food which I'd definitely recommend. Thank you!
We love this site, always spotless and well kept. Offers all the facilities needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay, feels like home from home.We felt very welcome and our request to be near facilities because of my husbands disability, was listened to and actioned. Ruth was very accommodating when we asked to wash our caravan on site. Love the wildlife around that area and the farm chickens visited daily, which was lovely to see.All in all a lovely stay and cannot wait to go back.
Owner welcoming, Lovely quiet place to stay, clean facilities and lovely walks. Will definitely stay here again when back in the area.
Generous level pitch (9) in lovely setting. Facilities were spot on and everything you could need.We would definitely return when next in the area.Enjoyed exploring Malton (much better than Pickering)
