Lovely Campsite!

We found Wood Nook to be a lovely campsite, and we received a warm and friendly welcome from the owner. The shower and toilet facilities were always clean with loads of hot water. We really loved the courtyard area and enjoyed delicious coffee and pain au chocolate from the Coffee Nook, and gorgeous cake from the reception. We hope to be back next year!

Lovely campsite

This was our first camping trip in a tent with our kids who were 5 and 2, and we had a great time. Toilet facilities nice and clean with private washrooms. Also enjoyed the random music in the toilets! There's a lady that sells coffee and pastries in a morning which was good. We arrived at 5pm Saturday and the pizza had just sold out, it was an issue as we had other food but just something to bear in mind if you are planning on having pizza. We don't have a dog but went around the dog walk area which is more of a walking trail, it was a perfect evening stroll for kids our age. There is a small playground with a climbing frame, slide and swing. There were lots of other families on the site with kids playing in the middle of the tents, but all noise quietened down by 10pm as per site rules. We were at pitch 69 which had a bit of an incline but was fine.

Beautiful rural setting with great views.

Fitch, Lisa - 21/08/2026

Great value for money, with clean facilities and a small shop selling camp essentials and local produce. Fresh cooked pizza, coffee and pastries were available across the weekend. The dog walk area was great to exercise our dogs, in woodland, with paths overlooking the campsite. There is a play area for children and you are only a short drive away from Grassington, Skipton and Malham, all great places to visit. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our young children and family friends. Such a lovely welcome when we arrived, the drive up to the site is really picturesque. The reception has some shop bits and some really beautiful locally made spreads, we were given a mini jar of lemon curd and it was exceptional! The campsite is quiet and everyone was very friendly. The lovely lady selling pastries in the morning is so nice and the pastries are 10/10! The facilities are great, really clean toilets and showers with hot water never running out and a sweet little park on site which the kids loved! We had walked around Bolton Abbey before our arrival, only a 30 minute drive away. We went in to Grassington and done a lovely woodland/countryside walk and stopped for ice cream afterwards in the village then on our last full day travelled 30 minutes or so for a walk around Malham Cove. Wood Nook was a great location for us and great value for money. We'll definitely return.
