Lovely Grown Ups Only Campsite

Great csmpsite and would definitely return. 20 mins walk from Wells City. Quiet, relaxing campsite for grown ups. We didn't visit the campsite restaurant / bar because we wanted to go into Wells, but next time will do so.Facilities were lovely and clean. Old English telephone box was transformed into a library for those who love to read and wanted to exchange books.Added bonus, they distill gins, vodka and rum and you can sample and buy on site.We didn't visit but it's also within driving distance from Wookey hole.Lovely campsite

Disappointed

Dodds, Fiona - 26/06/2025

We were very disappointed with our stay at Wells Touring Park and ended up leaving a day early. The pitches were small and very close together so it was impossible to have a private conversation and we could hear everyone else as well. The rules stress how important it is to park on the left of the pitch yet our neighbours parked on the right and consequently were very close to us. Nobody from the site team checked and asked them to move. The facilities block is adequate but hardly luxury compared to other sites we’ve stayed at but they were clean. The push button showers were a nuisance and there was no temperature control. The site was generally clean and tidy and the cafe looked nice although we didn’t use it. It’s handy to visit Wells but the route is noisy and busy with traffic if you take the shortest route along the main road. It would have been useful to have local bus service information available.

Beautiful site … excellently maintained in every way. Very clean and friendly and helpful staff. On-site coffee shop was amazing with freshly cooked food served on Friday and Saturday night. Everything you would need if you are travelling with canine companions - dog convenience and dog shower and lovely walks directly opposite. Bus stop to Wells or Cheddar almost directly outside or take a leisurely stroll into Wells with its shops and cafes and Saturday market.

Adults Only Site ,Nice tidy / Clean site. I wish more sites were like this!

Barker, Andrew - 23/06/2025

Access is not to bad a little tight when you arrive from the Chedder side easy to go to far at the entrance count down sign would be a good idea.Good location , the pitches are on a slight hill so you either get potential front to back levelling issues or side to side issues so remember your levelling blocks. All of the staff were friendly.Toilets were of a good standard although two were shut off in the Gents during our stay but had little impact on anyone.Enjoyed the local area Wells was a nice place, Clarkes shopping village was good although they now charge for parking! The Gorge was also a nice place to visit although could work out a little expensive for a family.Personally wouldn't recommend Burnham on sea not many shops but plenty of parking.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at wells caravan park. Lovely setting, very clean and tidy, pitches were good size and relatively level. Lovely bar/cafe area and staff w ere very friendly..The site was quiet. Although no dog walking area just over the road is a lovely place to walk dogs off lead. Getting into Wells was about 30 mins good walk. Or bus service stops nearby…

Nice friendly site . Good location .

Gale, John - 22/06/2025

Nice friendly site. Good welcome from staff. This was our second visit . Our only criticism is the shower block and toilets had a strong unpleasant smell this time ( drains ?) . The site was very quiet and peaceful although we found the piped local radio a bit to loud and irritating for our old ears in the shower block. We walked into Wells which was a very easy walk , about half n hour . Had a good a reasonably priced lunch in the King's Head . Wandered around site seeing after and caught the bus back right to the site entrance.
