Nestled among the huts Walberswick Beach Campsite offers a unique opportunity to camp right next to the beach! Walberswick is a beautiful Suffolk coastal village with two pubs ,cafes, shops, a playground and countless gorgeous walks and cycle routes. You can walk along the river and into Southwold via the fishing huts and try some delicious Fish and Chips or Sea Food from the huts. Or if you want you can use the famous ‘ferry’ to row you to the other side.
There is a car park near by the campsite and this is £4 per day, £20 per week or £60 maximum. On receipt of payment you will be sent a booking confirmation with the code for the car park lock and directions of how to get to us.

The most unique campsite I've ever stayed at. So close to the sea. Amazing sunsets and sunrises. No cars can get close so very peaceful. One tap, washing up is tricky but you improvise. Same with showers. Toilets are a short walk away. Back to basics in nature. Perfect.
Very easy campsite , well located and safe
Basic but magical. Will defo book again for next year!
Gorgeous few days as always, wish we could have stayed longer.
I absolutely love this campsite but wonder if anything could be done about the very stressful booking system!
If you want a stripped back camping experience, where the only facilities are a tap and a portaloo half a km away this is the place for you! Oh! I forgot to mention that the closest you can park to unload is also 0.5 km away! But this place is enormously popular- in fact the 17 pitches on an idyllic beach setting is so popular that booking is almost impossible! The booking portal opens at a set time on a set day which heralds the start of a frantic ten minutes in which time everything will be booked. My blood pressure starts to rise in the month leading up to the designated day and is at bursting point by the time booking opens. It’s apparent that some people have worked out a way to avoid this process but I have not been so blessed! The camp uses a third party booking system which at best is hopeless! If you fail to strike lucky at the first attempt you have to start the process all over again! Thankfully my blood pressure returns to normal by the time I arrive at my idyllic pitch.
It's a lovely small family friendly campsite, well marked for ease of access, the staff were brilliant over car parking, use of wheelbarrow etc. So nice to be able to crawl out of the tent and into the sea. And the portals were closer than the village hall toilets which was handy with the children.
Tremendous place to stay, just be aware that there are no showers
A magical small wild campsite with it'd own unique charm. Amazing to falll asleep lulled by the sound of waves on the shingle. Will be back next year for the 3rd time, jut this time for 2 weeks I hope :)
