South Wales Touring Park is nestled in the picturesque town of Llangennech near Llanelli, and stands as an exquisite adults-only touring park. Strategically located just a mile from junction 48 of the M4, this family-run gem serves as an ideal hub for exploring the wonders of South and West Wales.
Catering to both motorhomes and caravans, the park boasts 25 hard-standing pitches, each offering captivating views. Ensuring a comfortable stay, the facilities include heated shower rooms, toilets, dishwashing areas, and laundry facilities. For those seeking convenience, there are ten fully serviced pitches available. The park's membership in Tranquil Parks and Premier Parks underscores its commitment to providing a serene and top-notch experience.
While there is no on-site shop, the park compensates by arranging regular fresh deliveries. A weekly visit from the fishmonger and a Saturday morning appearance of a fruit and vegetable mobile shop add to the charm. Alternatively, the nearby Llangennech village, a mere 0.8 miles away, provides additional options for provisions.
Beyond the park's borders, adventure beckons. Carmarthenshire, recognised as a hiking hot-spot, offers some of the finest walking terrains. Visitors can explore the breathtaking landscapes ranging from Cardiff and the valleys to Pembrokeshire, the Towy Valley, the Brecon Beacons, and the Gower Peninsula.
For those with a penchant for botanical wonders, the National Botanic Garden of Wales, a short 13-mile drive away, houses the world's largest single-span domed glasshouse. Additionally, Aberglasney Garden, a 16-mile drive, presents another botanical haven, its restoration since 1995 transforming it into a glorious estate. Visitors can avail of discounted admission tickets for both of these gardens at the park.
Even in the face of occasional rainfall, the region's attractions remain vibrant. South Wales boasts a plethora of activities, from a visit to the Gwili Railway to exploring the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Penclaclwydd. Guided tours of National Trust properties such as Dolaicothi Gold Mines and Newton House offer a glimpse into the rich history of the area.
In essence, South Wales Touring Park/Llwynifan Farm stands as a haven for adult travellers seeking tranquillity, excellent amenities, and easy access to the diverse attractions of South and West Wales.

Lovely site, shame about the weather 😊Didn't get out a lot on purpose, just wanted a relaxing time. Take notice of arrival info! the slope up to the site is very steep, you don't want to be stopping on the way up. For pegging out make sure you take rock pegs and a lump hammer, not one of these rubber ones. Can't comment on other pitches, but no.10 that we were on, had to use the 'locknlevel' on offside wheel (single axle) pumped most of the way up to get level.Nice small secure dog field and nice dog walks straight off site, but, some of the fields do have cattle in so be careful. They ask that you only use biodegradable dog waste bags which we do anyway, but some are provided in the welcome pack on arrival. Only eco chemicals for the Elsen point as well (which we also only use) so no pink and blue. For dog walks further afield, parts of Llanelli beach are dog friendly all the year around, but the best by far is Pembrey Country Park, about 30 mins away and well worth a visit.
Amenities very clean and modern with very large pitches. Lovely views from the site which is very well maintained. Lots of friendly advice from the hosts who do their best to help everyone on site. There is a mobile shop which visits the site, which is handy. All in all: brilliant site, thankyou both!
Beautiful site clean shower's and toilets owners are fantastic
Lovely site. Well run. Great facilities. Lovely owners who go the extra mile. Great location. Fantastic views. Loads to do. Extremely dog friendly. Brilliant information and communication with customers. Everybody who we met was on a return visit. We have just bought our motorhome . We will be back.
We had a very great welcome and you could see it was very clean.the staff were very welcoming What ever you need you just had to ask.and the view was brilliant. And in the toilets were hand towels to dry your hands.
Have visited this campsite before, if it wasn’t so good we would not have come again nor would we have booked for next year already. I think that says enough. The title of the review says it all “SUPERB”.
We have been coming here for several years and love coming back Hywel is very friendly and nothing is too much both. We love the surrounding area in particular Burry Port and Pembry National park. The site is very scenic, peaceful and welcoming
We have have stayed at the South Wales touring many times, and it never fails to impress everything you need from a caravan park. It's spotless throughout and owners are always on hand to help in anyway, we will definitely be returning very soon.
