Very new and clean facilities , quiet site

5 star. Excellent site and top rate facilities.

Excellent family run site, spotlessly clean amenities and great value for money. Great central location to visit many places. We loved it here so much that we left our touring caravan here for the rest of the season and also will be returning next year on a seasonal pitch.

We arrived late afternoon. Our friends had put bedding etc in Pod 1 for us. The shower and amenities were very clean. We went to the pool a few times. We decided to upgrade to a larger pod for the second and subsequent nights of our stay. We spent time at our friends' caravan and went out for days to explore the local area. Smytham Holiday Park is within a 20-30 minute drive to Bideford, Westward Ho and Instow. We went to Country Cousins Carvery in Westward Ho and the Boathouse Restaurant at Instow. We had an excellent Indian Take Away and Pizzas two evenings. We had lovely Hocking's Ice cream at Torrington Park and other venues. We Spent the day at the Dinosaur and Wild life Park at Combe Martin. There are lots of great places to visit in the locality. A Welcome Pack was provided at Smytham so we could choose how to spend our time. Friendly staff and other residents. Lovely woodland walks with fairies and fairy doors, a soft play area and a park. A lovely place to stay!

Excellent facilities, helpful staff, location perfect and views spot on. Suited our needs perfectly with cycling and accessibility straight onto the Tarka Trail plus a visit to Rosemore. Weather perfect.

The ease of access, location, general well kept appearance and immaculate cleanliness of the whole site is an example to any others in the industry. The shower block is like an operating theatre! This is my third stay, we'll be back again for sure.

I stayed for two nights as my base for a local event. I can recommend the site very strongly. It is in a lovely open county setting with lots of space and good walks around the site and down into the Tarka trail. The facilities are excellent - modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The manager was most friendly and helpful.The only slight improvement I would suggest would be the ability to purchase WiFi tickets when booking online as this can only otherwise be done when reception is open

Excellent campsite with toilet/shower block that must set the gold standard for facilities . Their own route direct onto the Tarka Trail for cycling or walking,very friendly,immaculately clean,look forward to returning.

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay at Smytham’s. We stayed in our motorhome and found the pitches were very spacious with nice views of the surrounding countryside. The whole site is well kept, toilet and shower block was immaculate and the outdoor pool was an added bonus. The site was quiet as our stay co-insides with the children returning to school. The site was an ideal location as we were able to access and cycle along the Tarka Trail in both directions.
