Great caravan park, facilities good , clean. Great walks in the surrounding area
I love staying here due to proximity to castle gardens, Antrim town centre and the junction. Just disappointed that there are never any staff on site any more.
Hi the caravan site itself is good but the fact that it states that you have a games room when in fact you don't is very poor. My family where very disappointed.
We have been going to Six mile since we bought our tourer 3 years ago. It's a nice site and on a sunny day you could be anywhere!!The toilet and shower facilities are okay. Could do with being modernised. The water is always piping hot. The showers are alright but in general need a good overhaul. But functional. The downside we noticed was the street lighting was off. Made it very dark especially in the darker days. The car park outside the caravan park is very run down looking especially the eyesores that have been placed to stop unwanted visitors. Really takes the look off the area.Having a warden on site at night might be beneficial.Having the 2 night minimum stay in summer is absolutely essential as the place was virtually booked every single Saturday night obviously by motorhomes. The amount of weekends we couldn't stay due to Saturday only being booked out if you have a two night or even 3 nights in summer that would be great! We stay all year round from Feb t
Great stay. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely walk along the river.
Lovely walks in castle grounds and a 15 minute walk into Antrim town centre from campsite, very close to leisure centre, train station and buses etc etc.
I didn't get an email confirmation with an access code. I had to phone for access code which would have been a problem if i called after hours. Great facilities but I would have to think twice about risking booking the site again.
We stayed here recently and found the site to be beautifully located on the shores of Lough Neagh with an easy river-side walk into Antrim town and also an ideal base for touring not just the local sights as far a Ballycastle and the Glens but also Belfast / London Derry / Portrush as we were on a direct rail link to these locations.
Beautiful location, the views are stunning. The Castle Gardens are worth a visit we really enjoyed them. There's lots to see and the cafe was very good. Fantastic selection of cakes and pastries. Overall the site was good and very well run, however, the showers were almost cold and for the time of year , October, the heating should have been on. They're only open for limited time periods during the day. This didn't really affect us because after the first shower I used our own on board shower. Obviously in the summer this wouldn't be so much of an issue.
