Lovely fields

We love camping here and do actually return each summer. I wish the camping toilets and showers would be upgraded though and better lit at night time. It would be fab if there was something on a bit later for campers also. It is a lovely camping space though and we have no pitching issues.

We ended up not staying the night (older couple in a campervan)

Unsworth, Jerry - 15/09/2025

Despite having paid for the night, in the event we did not stay. Not helped by the weather, but the site (and specific siting for campervans) felt 'cold' and soulless. We decided to motor home (south Oxfordshire) to avoid travelling the next day.It was apparent that the site is geared towards younger families/ visitors and may well offer a great experience for them.

Good base

Miller, Tracey - 15/09/2025

A good base from which to access Burghley Horse Trials. Easily accessible and spacious pitches. Toilets and showers were clean but old and ready for an upgrade. Price per night a little high in relation to facilities. The gentleman warden was friendly and helpful.

Out with nature

We visited Sacrewell for the first time over a weekend and we absolutely loved it!We was on pitch 21 so well out of the way from the day visitors to the farm, we had the whole field to ourselves and enjoyed watching the various wildlife around including rabbits, birds and the odd squirrel. We had complete privacy located at the back of the farm. The main toilet block was about 10 min walk away and were found to be clean but quite busy and the site wasnt nowhere near full. There are two shed type structures with a shower in each, these took me back to when we first started camping so tbh felt quite nostalgic with the cobwebs overhead, shower curtain and water that dipped in/out of temperature but I would use again. There is a slight hum of traffic which could be heard from the nearby (assume) A1 and the area around where we were pitched, had part dug rabbit divets on so made the surface uneven but nothing to deter us from visiting again as ideal for our weekend stay 😀

How clean and organised it was. All play areas were well situated throughout the farm

Drummond, Ann - 02/09/2025

We visited for 3 nights and stayed on site in our motorhome. We purchased wristbands when we booked and it was definitely well worth it. Our Grandson had a great time and said he was never bored. He enjoyed the playbarn when the rain came on. He also enjoyed Poo Sticks Bridge.Good idea having books for reading in cafe, I think he read them all.

Great Setting

Taylor, Andrew - 30/08/2025

The setting of the campsite is very good with access to the farm, cafe etc during opening time albeit at additional cost but well worth it. It’s generally quiet and lots of space for games which is great. The only downside is the camping facilities, there is one set of toilets which is quite a walk away from the pitches in the top field.

Non electric pitch. Friendly and good value

Owen, Jessica - 29/08/2025

Facilities were OK. Could have been more toilets as only one block for whole campsite. Water for washing facilities was cold or luke warm, but OK for outside washing. The pitch itself was very good, a few holes to watch out for. Play park for children was available but minimal. We went to the farm and was able to get round in one day. Luckily we planned activities around the campsite for further entertainment.

Happy campers!

Cross, Jade - 29/08/2025

We stayed for 3 nights at Sacrewell farm and was very lucky we had great weather !We visited Tallington Lakes that was a 25 minute drive as I booked for the kids to use the outdoor swimming pool. The second day we visited the farm. There was enough there to keep the kids entertained for the day. They enjoyed the play areas and looking at the animals . To improve the experience , there could be more animal interactions on than a “ donkey talk” or they could be displayed better at the entrance if there was more on .We were in the top field camping . Although busy for bank holiday , everyone was polite and friendly on site . The toilets and showers were kept clean even though they were small for the site size . The washing up facilities had warm water at best . Overall , we had a lovely time away .
