Easy checkin at reception and then we went to park on the top field. Lots of water point in the field. Gentleman came over and made us feel very welcome. It was very chilled and a lovely site. First time for our grandson in the camper and it was perfect lots of space for him to run around
The size of the pitch was fairly unlimited and they were very accommodating Set up Motorhome with double windbreaks to one side and still plenty of space to play. Boules.Lots of space for dog walking tooThe Farm and Mill are excellent attractions
5th time here camping. Really enjoy it. The actual site facilities for camping if in a tent are basic but they are all there. Warm showers, clean, etc. But of a walk to them depending on where on site we, and could do with a extra camping block being built to help if really busy.Great access to the farm which we always love, and everything kept really tidy and clean.I made a mistake when pitching this time and went to far over to the other pitch. As no one was going to be on it I was able to leave it there but perhaps some coloured markers or something just to show the boundary of each pitch a bit better as a suggestion. But really enjoyed as usual and will be going back.
Arrived after 5pm due to coming from good old Scotland and it’s chilly rainy weather. Pitched up with no issues. Thought someone was screaming throughout the night, turned out to be a wee peacock. Luckily we bought the dunny or I’d have trudged round to the main building for the toilets and might not have made it in time! 🤣🤣. Possibly some loos and showers near the far fields or a possible cut through could be considered. Staff were very nice and helpful. Weather was hot hot hot! Definitely be back but during the week. Enjoyed every moment.
We had a lovely stay at Sacrewell. It was my 2.5 year olds first time camping and she loved the versatility it offered. There was so much for her to do. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and easy to access. We stayed on the bottom field and it was wonderfully close to everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a lovely review. We're so pleased to hear that your little one's first camping experience was such a success and that you enjoyed everything on site :) We look forward to welcoming you again!
Front reception was pretty much self service not much effort made to welcome us and induct us to the sight as first time campers with you. We have been coming to Sacrewell for years personally and professionally through schools so were disappointed. I've even done black smithing courses and fed lambs with one of our relatives who worked at sacrewell so we have been about a lot on your site for various things! We ended up in pitch 7 that was right next to the car park which stayed illuminated through the night at least well past 12am. Our “neighbours” were kicking balls around our van and everyone was cutting the corner right past our door, so all in all not great. If we stayed again we wouldn't want a pitch anywhere near there! Annoyingly there were lots of great quieter pitches around that remained empty all through our stay. No pictures to show as it would deter people from coming! Hopefully if we come back it will be more enjoyable! This was our 26th wedding anniversary weekend!
Hi Alison,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and please accept our apologies that your stay didn’t meet your expectations, especially for such a special occasion. We’re sorry to hear that your pitch and welcome experience fell short, and we completely understand how disappointing that must have been. We believe you chose that pitch to be close to the amenities, but we appreciate that the location wasn’t ideal for you in the end. Should you choose to stay with us again, please do let us know if you’re unhappy with your pitch at reception, and we’ll always do our best to move you to a quieter spot if we have availability. We really value your long-standing connection with Sacrewell and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much more enjoyable experience next time.
Surrounded by natureIf you’re lucky, full view of beautiful sunsetChildren love to play in the campsite playground later in the evening
Ever since we ‘discovered’ Sacrewell it has been one of the favourite places of our Grandchildren for the animals, play areas, and lovely stream along with the large grassy area to run free. It’s the place chosen for birthday treat trips. Thank you for such a lovely place.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that Sacrewell has become a favourite spot for your grandchildren and a go-to for birthday treats and special days out. It’s lovely to know they enjoy everything our site has to offer. Thank you for choosing us to help make happy memories, we hope to welcome you back again soon :)
Lovely place to camp with young kids, great that there is so much space between pitches a lovely outdoor play area. All facilities clean and working. Only complaint would be that when we stayed on the Sunday morning a member of the Sacrewell farm park kitchen staff parked at 7am in the carpark and then sat in their car for half an hour playing blazing loud music.
Peaceful location. All amenities available and accessible.Having been given the barrier code, we were able to come in late (9pm) each day and we really appreciated that flexibility. The online booking was easy to use and the site plan and pitch descriptions were useful for choosing the ideal pitch. The only comment we would make was that on arrival, bearing in mind it was dusk, was that it was initially difficult to work our way round to pitch 9 with all the roped off fencing there which was not easily visible. High viz rope and additional signs to direct to the numbered pitches would be useful.
Thank you for your lovely review and thoughtful feedback. We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and our peaceful location. It’s great to know our online booking system and pitch descriptions helped you choose the ideal spot too.We really appreciate your comments about navigating the site at dusk. Your suggestion for high-vis rope and clearer signage is very helpful, and we’ll definitely look into ways to improve visibility and make arrival even smoother for future guests. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
