Beautiful location, lovely to see birds, squirrels and the resident pheasant. In a good location close to local attractions. Very small kitchen in the lodge but reasonably well stocked.The frying pan was extremely hard to clean and probably needs replacing.The single beds weren't very comfortable and I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed the last night.

How wonderful it was to sit outside our pod in late September and watch the bats flying overhead. The pod itself was very clean and cosy. I stayed with my daughter and 3 grandsons, they enjoyed being able to throw a rugby ball around on the field while we got dinner ready (and enjoyed a glass of Camel Valley sparkling Wine). It was a lovely weekend. Will definitely be back.

Allways lovely and clean

Couldn't have been better other than perhaps wall shelves in kitchen to create more worktop space. It didn't spoil our stay over weekend but longer stay may be different. Small Light over cabin numbers perhaps.Loved it.

Disappointed with washroom facilities.Never saw the owner despite a phone call and written note saying see you tomorrow.There seemed to be a lack of maintenance on and around the building.A fire extinguisher box was covered in ivy and hadn't been looked in for a while.The chemical disposal point was in a disgusting condition and obviously had not been cleaned for a very long time. Has the site ever had a Legionella risk assessment carried out?

Loved it

This was one of the best sites that we have stayed on. The lodge was well equipped and comfortable. The site itself was well laid out giving privacy and enough space to enjoy the facilities. The site was also well maintained and very clean. It was an ideal location for a peaceful break with easy road links to all parts of the county. We will certainly book again.

We stayed on pitch 5, which out of season was perfect for the showers toilets and wash up. Ruthern Valley Camping is a beautiful site surrounded by mature trees and lush shrubs. The feel of the site is relaxing and peaceful. It’s not for large noisy groups of people. We had easy access to the Camel Trail through the quiet lanes and onto the track either way to Wadebridge or Bodmin. We cycled into Wadebridge and then back for our Grand Tour and tasting at the Camel Valley Vineyard. A wholly recommended experience. All in all a wonderful few days in September. Yet another relaxing week at Ruthern Valley.As always, everything was perfect and we will definitely be returning.

A central point in Cornwall with friendly staff who have a good sense of humour. I first visited the site in 2003, and would always go back there.
