Great location for those walking the SW Coast Path with direct aces to the path. Fabulous views over the Fleet, Chesil Beach and Portland Bill. Facilities a little dated but cleaning staff kept them spotless.Horses and Alpacas very cute.
We love this campsite. The pitch is great, never over crowded. The staff are friendly and always around should you need any assistance. The toilets are clean and the view is fabulous. Love watching the Alpacas and Horses in the fields across from the campsite. This was our 6th time in 4yrs and we look forward to visiting again soon.
Fabulous views over Chesil beach and Portland Bill. Lovely Llamas. Quiet location, yet on outskirts of Weymouth.!
This is the second year we have stayed here with great times. The views are amazing and the cycle link to Weymouth centre is fantastic. Will keep coming.
A great location with good access to Weymouth and Portland. Lovely views over Chesil beach and nice dog walk down to the lagoon. Good clean facilities close to nice flat pitches. Definitely recommend!
So peaceful & and amazing place to stay close to the waters edge & a greatbplace for walking. Loved seeing all the animals especially the donkeys.
Great location for camping near Weymouth with fantastic views of Chesil beach. You can’t actually walk down to the sea despite it being 300m away (due to another body of water between the campsite and the beach) so it would have been helpful to have had this in the site description somewhere. There was no power to the pitches for the duration of our stay (after upgrading) which was a slight inconvenience but didn’t affect our overall enjoyment of the stay. Other campers were also friendly. Would recommend as a decent base for exploring the local area.Didn’t encounter any staff in person but thanks to the on site manager, who was very friendly over the phone when we had queries/questions upon arrival.
On the top of the hill overlooking Portland with donkeys, llamas in fields beside. A footpath directly down to the coastal path it was easy enough for 70 year olds to walk into Portland. Shower facilities were ok but, water temperature fluctuates but, that information is displayed.
We were surprised to access the site via a residential area, but pleasantly surprised by the setting, with close proximity to Chesil beach, and surrounding fields with donkeys, horses and alpacas. Easy access to the coast path running along the back of the site. The pitches seemed very close together, but it was very quiet at all times. The showers and toilets were basic but clean. No hot water the first day, but ok on the second day. Would have liked vacant/engaged signs on toilet doors. It was a nuisance having to keep pressing the control to keep the shower running. There was a bus stop within a 5 minute walk, together with a pub and small tesco. No shop on site, just eggs and basic toiletries to buy at reception. We felt it was a little expensive for a basic site. We have paid less on a site with more facilities.
