This was our fourth visit to Longnor Wood and we absolutely love it there.The setting is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and the location is well appointed for local attractions. We especially loved the takeaway service - we ordered both fish and chips and curry on the nights they did them and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Excellent!We have stayed in the mini lodge, the fanciest lodge and this time we were in Damson, the mid range offering.I would have given it five stars but the lodge this time around had a couple of issues. It was freezing, and while we could boost the heating, overnight this isn’t possible and it was so cold in the mornings. Our tumble dryer was also incredibly dodgy and every 20 minutes would stop and beep for us to clean the filter (which I did!) but it never fixed the issue. When using the washer and/or dryer, the whole cabin shook.Aside from that the cabin was clean, comfortable and cosy (especially with the fire going). A great holida

The staff on arrival were very helpful especially when we wanted to add an additional nights stay. The park and facilities were as explained and to a high standard. The pitches were spacious with and services either on the pitch or nearby. We are hoping to return in the near future.

This is our third trip to Longnor and this time we stayed in a caravan with a hot tub. It’s was an amazing experience. My dog loved watching the rabbits out the big windows and I loved the hot tub for my chronic pain. My parents came to visit and also loved it. We’re hoping to come back in May and then considering coming for New Year’s Eve as it is so quiet here. Love it more every time we come. Thank you so much.

From the first email to book to checking out, everything was just perfect!The Lodge was Fantastic, Clean, Tidy, Warm, Cosy and a Real Home from Home with the addition of a Hot Tub!Could not ask for more!The Staff are brilliant, nothing seems to be to much trouble for them and if you do have a problem, if they can't fix it straight away, they will do it as soon as the possible can. The Site is quite and very well maintained with enough space between each Lodge to make it feel really private and comfortable.The Area is a great place to explore. Longnor is in quite a central place so towns like Bakewell, Buxton, Leek, Ashbourne, Chatsworth are only about 20-30 minute driveIt's beautiful place to go walking, with plenty of local paths if you don't want to drive to far There is a wealth of Village Pubs serving Good Beer and Good Food more or less on the doorstepIf you like to cook, you can easily find local produce from Farm's and Local Shops Everything is a joy!Just Perf

The location was amazing a really beautiful place. The site is lovely & clean with all the facilities you need. Our lodge the Buxton mini dog friendly was just lovely clean and had everything needed. Was lovely to have a full size freezer with Ice waiting for us!! The dog field was a nice touch for our dog to have a run around & the views were breathtaking. We didn’t see much of the staff as it was Christmas but there was a number to call for any problems. We had just a beautiful stay all round. Leek taxis were brilliant too & took us to the Royal Oak Hurdlow only 10 mins away was a beautiful pub food was amazing Will definitely be back in the summer

The pod was really quiet with plenty of wildlife each morning.All we required provided however the underfloor heating was not working and the floor extremely cold for ourselves and dog.A new tin opener was required also, these points mentioned on check out.A short drive is the old railway line, now a walking trail excellent for walks and coffee.Would definitely return to the site.

We were delighted to have visited. We stayed in "Rose" and found the accommodation to be better than we had hoped for. I have been looking for campsites in this area, to allow us to visit family members. This could be our perfect find. The food delivery, pizzas and breakfast rolls was a fantastic service and good value for money.Why can't more sites be like this one?We will definitely be making another booking in a few weeks time.

It was a late decision by myself to get away from stresses of work for both of us . I was recommended by a good friend about Longnor Wood & it was everything he said it was . I’ll 100% be returning, lovely lodge , lovely staff & 1.5 mile walk to The Old Cheshire Cheese pub which won’t disappoint.

A nice friendly site for a single night stay. All as expected, and the facilities we used were great. Recommendation would be to have a torch when showing arrivals to their pitch at night time. We enjoyed the stay and are looking to come me back in the summer
