Positives, Welcoming staff, great pitches , small site so not overcrowded. Great facilities , awesome Sauna for private use with shower . Beautiful enclosed dog paddock with views . Food delivered to the motorhome and quality and quantity absolute perfection . Negative Not sure why , however a tent pitched grass next to opposite hard standing with clearly 3 teens . On numerous occasions clearly smoking weed and highly obvious , walked in to toilet facilities and had to walk back out due to two lads being in there who absolutely stunk of it . Such shame as this put a little downer on our visit . Not acceptable but wouldn’t allow it to effect my review as really a lovely place.

We had such a lovely stay with friends, stayed in the Hawthorne 2 bedroom it was so lovely clean and we had the best time even though the weather was terrible our stay was fantastic, thankyou so much.

This was our second stay at longnor Wood. The site is in a beautiful quiet location, well maintained with everything you could need. We stayed in a lodge and was perfect for the 2 of us and our puppy. And we will definitely return again. We went for walks on this visit, highly recommend doing peveril castle and the monsal trail in bakewell.After a long walk it was lovely to get back to the lodge and sit in front of the log fire and relax in the hot tub

Lovely weekend stay. We had a fully serviced pitch which was a good size. Spotless shower and toilet facilities. We had a really relaxing stay.

We stayed in the glamping pods, they were well equipped. A couple of improvements would be a wall mounted heater in the bathroom. The horrible corner of the bed which we all caught our knees on! Needs to be covered with up. A night lamp would be great instead of putting all the lights on in the evening. As your site says it has under floor heating, which it didn’t or we were told does not work! If it did work that would have been great!

We visited for my dad's 84th birthday. We go to lodges every year and this was one of the best. It had everything we needed for a fantastic weekend.. We paid for the birthday package and that was great as well as extra treats from the longnor team which was really appreciated. From treats for the dog to milk for our tea.We said it would have been nice to have slippers and robes just as a suggestion but otherwise fantastic!This our 2nd visit in 2026, the field for the dog is also brilliant.We visited Bakewell whilst we were there and also had a meal at ye olde Cheshire cheese which was lovely.

We visit Longnor Wood every year as we love the relaxed, quiet atmosphere & privacy that you get with an adult only site and at Longnor Wood we can also take Eva our GSD, if we don't want to leave the site we can always exercise Eva on the more than ample dog walk field and there is also a Dog Wash if she gets too muddy. The site has excellent clean facilities & the staff are always helpful & friendly. The area around Longnor is beautiful & most places are dog friendly if you are travelling with your dog, we love Sunday dinner at the "Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese" & if you like Fish there is a lovely fish restaurant called GoFish on the road to Buxton. overall our trips to Longnor are a pleasant relaxing annual trip that we thoroughly look forward to.

stunning location peace and quiet

A very peaceful small adult only site. Utilities were clean & staff were very helpful & friendly. The Longnor app is very useful.I would recommend to staff that they advise arrivals when the access through Longnor is flooded because with a caravan in tow it is impossible to turn around on such a narrow road.Apart from that I would definitely give this site 5 stars & highly recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful break.
