Our 1st visit to Longnor Wood

Anscombe, Gail - 01/05/2026

The staff were helpful and friendly. We found 2 walking routes straight from the campsite. (As we drive a motorhome we like to pitch up and leave it on pitch for duration) The walk to Longnor village was good, there is an off road route via footpaths that we used outbound, and a bit longer than going direct along the road. Cafes in the village for refreshments. Our second walk headed to Hillend farm and around, shorter but also nice. Both take in the lovely scenery. Longnor is a lovely village, we left on a Sunday and enjoyed their Sunday Roast on our way home.Would recommend.

If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, with beautiful views, which is dog friendly then Longnor Holiday Park is ideal. We can also highly recommend the Pizza on the Saturday night! Longnor is becoming our favourite site close to home so ideal for a weekend trip.

Well run and friendly.

Woolven, Melanie - 28/04/2026

We have visited Longnor twice and will definitely do so again. The site is beautifully situated away from noise from traffic. It is in a delightful area with an abundance of great walks. There are plenty of great pubs within a 15 minute drive which do excellent food. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and with Aldi 15 minutes away this is a good option too. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our Lodge was very clean and well maintained.

Short stay

Errington, Natalie - 28/04/2026

Lovely two night stay at this site as a tourer. Friendly staff, great location and well maintained. Our only negative comment would be that a 9:30am check out is a little too early. Most sites we have stayed on check out at 11am which means you can enjoy your breakfast and have a steady pack up. Check in is after 2pm, other sites are 1pm, so staff have around 4 hours before departures and new arrivals, which seems more than enough time as the site is immaculately kept and the washrooms were cleaned first thing. It just makes a two night stay seem shorter.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Site and log cabin clean and warm. Love the quietness and the nature around. Great little shop and some great places to visit.

Love have warm and welcoming the staff are. The log cabins are well looked after and clean. Love the welcome notes that make you feel welcome.Great facilities, shop always has things we are looking for. The carbin has plenty of equipment to cook with. Been more than once and we have done long and short stays where we have days out at attractions nearby ( but dont mind driving 1h to get to somewhere) and for days in where we have played games and been in the hot tub.We love Chatsworth and are part of the national trust. We just love it, and always sad to leave. Can't wait to book our next stay away

Weekend Away

Langton, Maxine - 23/04/2026

The lanes going up to the park were quite narrow & rough which made towing a caravan abit differcult. However the entrance to the park & the park itself was great, each pitch was easily assessable. The Park was very clean with a games room, sauna & gym. Extremely friendly staff & good facilities (best shower block ive been to so far!!)We did a walk into Langnor which was over the fields, took about 45min, was quite hard going but the road route we deemed too dangerous as no pavements. The cafe was perfect plus they have 2 pubs which we didnt try.We do like a walk to a pub/restaurant in the evening but was unable to at this site. We went into Buxton, only a 20min drive which was lovely. If you just want to relax on the park or drive to local places I definitely recommend this site.

Stunning Location

Lewis, Steven - 23/04/2026

I was looking forward to the trip to Longnor Wood H.P The area is stunning and I loved it The holiday park itself has plentyOf amenities as stated on the app - well worth downloading The welfare area - men’s toilet and shower block needs updating and some TLC - yes it was clean and tidy though My partner agrees that the ladies area needs the same which is unfortunate as it is one of the key things you remember Pitches for most part are not level - it would not take a great deal to make sure they are level In summary loved the stay in the area but the site needs an update

Just beautiful

Ridley, Rachel - 22/04/2026

This was our first break away with our two dogs, and we all absolutely loved it. The scenery was stunning, and Maple Lodge was beautiful — we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Seeing rabbits hopping around made it feel even more special, and the hot tub was just perfect for relaxing. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. We only stayed for two nights, but we’re already looking at booking again for next year. Thank you for such a lovely stay
