Everything around the Longnor Wood was so lovely, the staff were so wonderful and helpful… The Lodge “Elms” is the one I’ve stayed in, everything was spotless and everything was there that I needed to use, even the washing machine, iron, etc… I took day trips out to a Air Balloon ride, Dovedale walks and Tissington Trail… there are plenty of places to go to… On the site they have a gym area and sauna which I did use, I couldn’t wish for a nicer place to unwind and relax … the most cute thing I found was watching rabbits running around and squirrels in the mornings… I have stayed here 5 times now… and looking forward to the next booking …
Arrived on a Saturday which was perfect timing as the site make fresh pizzas and deliver to your caravan and also Sunday morning breakfast rolls delivered to your caravan! Good prices and excellent food. The site and facilities were perfectly clean and very quiet although it was almost full. Large enclosed dog field with beautiful views.
The site is a credit to the staff and was perfect for us and our two dogs. Facilities, dog walking, off lead field and pitches all excellent. Getting to the site can be a bit bumpy due to the location but, worth it. Staff all friendly and polite. Definitely would return. Views from dog field amazing. Walk into Longnor village was lovely once away from the roads. No complaints.
We loved our stay at Longnor Wood Holiday Park! My only compliant is that we didn't stay for longer! The lodgings were very comfortable and clean! They left us chocolates and prosecco which was very appreciated! They had everything needed in the kitchen (we stayed in the Peak Deluxe Lodge with hot tub, dog friendly). They even left some treats and a ball for our dog, very kind! They left us a little bottle of milk which was appreciated! It dropped a little cold at night as the weather has been unpredictable (as British weather is!) but the boiler was easy to use to turn the heating on for a couple of hours to warm up! We could see little wild rabbits around the park every day! The hot tub was my favourite! Very spacious and easy to use, I didn't want to leave! We will definitely be coming again 😊 great location as a base to explore the Peak District! We went to Lud's Church and Poole's Cavern/Solomon's Temple. Thank you!
We loved this campsite and will definitely be using again for future trips to the Peak District! The toilet and shower block was heated, and always clean. Shower pressure and temperatures was good. We didn't use the sauna or games room but will try them next time! Site was nice and quiet and in a great location. Check in process after hours was easy to follow. It was a shame we had to hire a firepit instead of being able to bring our own. Especially as our own one we left at home was very similar to the one we hired!
Longnor Wood is a premium site with excellent facilities. Clean bathrooms and good showers. Well stocked shop onsite for essentials. Excellent takeaway delivery service 3 times per week, Fish and chips, pizza and Indian.Well maintained site looks very smart, easy to pitch up and helpful team on site to assist.Ideal location for exploring the peaks, Bakewell and the British car museum were highlights.
From the receptionist at booking in, to the facilities and services provided we found the Park to be one of the best we have stayed at within the UK.
Not a bad word to say about this site!!!Staff all friendly & helpfulLognor has thought of everything! We stopped in a trailer tent , didn’t need to set up half the stuff we take as everything is there for youEXCELLENT!!
Stayed for two nights. Lovely quiet site. Great facilities including use of gym and sauna. Showers etc spotless clean. Lovely dog walk through woods or dog field
We had hired a campervan for the first time and spent two nights at Longnor Wood. We found it easy to find and accessible in our vehicle. The instructions I was given before our visit gave full details of where to park and what to do on arrival. Check in was welcoming and easy. All the facilities were good and very clean. It was quiet with plenty of wildlife to watch. We walked to the village pub for a meal. It's quite a long walk but the views are lovely. The village and surrounding area are beautiful. We walked Chrome Hill which is nearby. We aren't experienced enough to comment on the price and value for money, but we'd definitely visit again.
