Super peaceful and relaxing getaway, so pleasant to see the abundance of wildlife in the morning and definitely worth a visit.

The park is situated in a very quiet and rural spot in the Peak District but there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. The park itself is very well run and is clean and well laid out. There are plenty of facilities on the camp itself if you dont want to travel. Our lodge was beautifully presented and immaculate on our arrival. We were shown to our lodge and shown how to use the facilities. The lodge was very spacious and very clean and modern. The bedrooms and bathroom had generous amounts of space unlike other places we have stayed. The lodge is well equipped for both humans and dogs and perfect for our stay. The staff on site are very friendly and super helpful and offer great advice on things to do and places to visit during your stay. There is an App for the site with loads of useful information to help you have an enjoyable and stress free stay. A brilliant location for exploring the Peak District and the on-site secure dog field is very welcome for those early/late walks.

Secluded

Lovely place feels out in the middle of nowhere yet only a ten minute drive to the small village of Longnor where there are fabulous pubs and a couple of small shops. Can't comment on the touring side as we stayed in a lodge. It was beautifully clean, hot tub cleaned and water changed after every guest which, although you'd expect this, doesn't get done everywhere. We do also have a campervan and would happily bring it here.

A site that needs a bit of a makeover

Hard standing pitch needs a bit more gravel. Dog was area need floor and door repair, plus light was not working. On a fully serviced pitch, make sure you have an extra long drain pipe.

2nd visit in 8 weeks - not disappointed

Having stayed in October 2024 - and overwhelmed by the location and tranquillity of the park - we always said we'd return and true to our word - found a few days free between Christmas & New Year so took the plunge and re-booked. All we can say is how lovely and peaceful and well respected it is - located in the beautiful Pak District. Can't fault anything - the hot tubs are gorgeous. Cant wait to return - again..

Nice Holiday Park

Lane, Rob - 03/01/2025

The holiday park has nice facilities. I camped and what I would say is that I felt as if the campsite area had just been shoved in an area that couldn't have been any further from the facilities. I was a sole camper and at £33 a night (highest I have ever, ever paid !), I didn't think it was great, just OK (I do accept that it is winter and perhaps not so bad in summer). I didn't think the stones for the all weather pitch was good in fact it made the floor colder and uncomfortable and as soon as you stepped off it you were back on wet muddy grass. I didn't like I couldn't park adjacent to tent either. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and washroom facilities were very warm and clean, plus the shop and washing up areas were good (although the washing up area was a long trek from the tent area!).I would go back, but I'm not sure I would camp!

Christmas holiday stay December 2024

Beall, Joy - 31/12/2024

My husband and I had a fabulous stay here over Christmas with our two dogs. We stayed in a luxury lodge called Lavender. The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay special, with the luxury of a log burner, hot tub and to the special added extras of a Christmas tree, Christmas card and a gift of a box of chocolates from the staff. There was even a complimentary bottle of fizz in the fridge waiting for us with an ice bucket and ice provided. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our two dogs had a great time to playing in the fenced dog field , they even had their own goodie box in the lodge, with biscuits, ball, towel, blanket and poo bags for them to enjoy during our stay.We would definitely recommend Lognor Wood to our friends and family and will definitely be back soon!Joy and Ian Beall

Tired

Gwynne, Karen Marie - 19/12/2024

Dogs not allowed into reception area/dog wash with many tiles loose on the floor/no facility to tie up the dog whilst washing them/lack of poo bins around the site/lack of lighting at night on pathways/allocated pitches (always been able to choose my pitch & pre-book with your Cambridge sister site)/shower curtains in wash area, although clean, how outdated/laundry area small, household size machinery, not industrial.Staff, however, amazing. Extremely helpful & very friendly.
