Wonderfully chilled out place to stay. Has all mod cons & is so clean & comfortable. We have stayed many times and hopefully many more to come.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable lodge, in peaceful surroundings,with a beautiful view of the lake and its wildlife.Great base for exploring Kendal,Windermere and Bowness and Grange Over Sands.Very dog friendly, clean site with a great exercising field.Welcome supplies on arrival for making a brew with some Kendal mint cake and a jar of treats for the dog.Everything had been thought of for all visitors ,thank you!

We’ve been coming to Littlemere for about 8 years and can’t praise the owners enough. They go out of their way to ensure your holiday is comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. We’ve stayed in 4 of the lodges and all have been immaculately clean, well equipped with amazing views. It doesn’t matter what time of year you visit as the seasons each have their unique beauty.There’s a special sense of calm and tranquility which is rare to find these days.Looking forward to returning in May.

I was so impressed as everything you needed was there also the little thing's made it nice, had everything for the dog, I loved the log 🪵 burner and the view was lovely 😁 definitely be back loved the peace and quiet lovely walks with the dog 🐕it was so easy to get into Kendal and shops and supper markets, Windermere up the road and Ambleside with in easy reach, definitely value for money. Location was easy yeah tracks and road narrow but had passing places, lovely view of the hills with all the snow 🌨️ on top, we went in February and weather was ok,

Just spent 3 nights in the Den at Littlemere and everything we could possibly need was there for us, it was in January 2026 so obviously the nights and mornings were dark, but there was sensor lights on the side of all the lodges so that was a big plus for us when taking our dog out. We will definitely be back and have already recommended it to others. Thank you

An absolutely beautiful setting feels remote but still accessible to plenty of places to visit/shop. The lodge has everything you need to enjoy a few days away and was spotlessly clean and tidy, really good value for money. We have added this to our Favourites list!

This was our second time visiting Littlemere in 2025. It was the perfect place to welcome in the new year after a busy Christmas. We love littlemere and the fact it is so peaceful and tranquil yet a stones throw away from the Lake District. The lodge is an home away from home and has everything you could possibly need. Our dog truly loves going on long walks and then settling in by the log fire for the evening. We can’t wait to be back in 2026.

This was our second time spending Christmas at Littlemere, this time with our dog. We were late arriving because our van broke down and Jen was so helpful and quick to respond!The lodge was clean comfy and cosy and has what you need for a lovely break in the most beautiful area. You can walk out of the door and access hundreds of walks and are conveniently close to Kendal and lots of other outdoors activities. It’s easy to get here from the A6 and M6 and would recommend visiting Plumgarths Farm shop to pick up supplies. The lodge location is brilliant and the extra touches for the dog and access to secure area was amazing. The only criticism is that the lodge could do with some more cutlery/crockery and glasses (even for two you end up washing up twice a day) and a new frying pan.

We had yet another fantastic visit, as always! This is a great place and one we keep coming back to, we’ve stayed here six times now, which really says it all. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the lodge is spotless, and it has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It really feels like a home away from home, and we always look forward to returning.We will definitely be back again very soon. The only small area for improvement would be the blinds in the living room, which could do with being replaced. They are starting to fall apart and, because of the gaps, it made it a bit difficult to watch TV when the sun was shining through. Aside from this minor issue, everything else was perfect and we continue to highly recommend this place.

What grabbed my attention as soon as we walked in was how pristine the lodge was. The cleanliness of the whole lodge was like nothing ive ever seen before. It was so cosy and private the log fire was such a gorgeous addition and we loved it. Thank you so much!
