Hidden Gem *****

Davey, Lisa - 28/06/2024

5

We had an excellent stay in 'The Nest', spotlessly clean and much more spacious that we expected. Comfortable and well equipped. Doors that open straight on to the Tarn with a wonderful seating area. It was good to have a secure gate on the entrance to the lodge, very well thought out and extremely pet friendly. Wonderful exercise field, bins and an area to wash off boots and the dogs. We were very grateful for the little accessories, poo bags, bowl and treats for the dogs. milk and kendal cake in the fridge, also tea, coffee and other bits and bobs. We even managed to pick up some fresh eggs. Excellent customer service and quick response to emails. The place is a hidden gem of peace and tranquility, the whole site is immaculate and we will definitely be returning. Thankyou to the owners and all the staff for providing such a wonderful place to visit. Definitely A******

Lovely restful location

Gritton, Ashley - 11/06/2024

The Coppice Lodge is in a lovely setting on the lake which is very peaceful - ideal for a quiet away from it all vacation. The Lodge itself is fully equipped with everything (and more) that you could want - I cannot think of anything else it needs. It was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and lovely shower. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Relaxing Littlemere

Crebo, Robert - 11/06/2024

Very nice stay at Littlemere lodges. We stayed in a semi detached lodge with a balcony overlooking a tarn (lake). The roads accessing the site are very narrow, but this is something very normal in Cumbria. It's quite a good location for Lake Windermere but quite a drive to the Northern Lakes. The lodge itself is well equipped with all kitchen appliances including a dishwasher. Also a washing machine provided with washing capsules which was very handy as one day we got drenched. The lodge has a woodburner which we didn't use but the heating worked well. The bathroom was lovely with a shower and a bath with jacuzzi options. I would say the bath has no handles making it very difficult to feel safe getting out. The balcony was fantastic for looking over the lake. The wildlife we saw was spectacular. 2 oyster catchers looking after their baby was so good to see. We saw sheep, lambs, badgers and a vixen and 6 cubs. Really enjoyed our stay

Absolutely love visiting Littlemere

Newman, Andrew - 04/06/2024

This is our second time we’ve visited Littlemere, on this occasion it was our wedding anniversary and our third visit is booked for August for the wife’s birthday which speaks volumes on how much we love the place. The lodges are spotlessly clean with everything you need to make it a home from home. On this stay the lambs on the hill over the mere certainty kept us entertained with their antics along with the ducklings on the mere and the visiting vocal oystercatcher on a couple of occasions. The site is very dog friendly and has a nice secure dog field for your furry friends to have a run knowing they’re nice and safe. The peacefulness is so refreshing to just relax and recharge and the atmosphere on a night as the sun sets is just amazing as day turns to total darkness to gaze at the stars on a clear night. Thankyou to all the Littlemere team on making our visits so special, see you again soon.
