Beautiful stay

Mason-Fisher, Chloe - 23/07/2024

Beautiful lodges fully furnished with everything you need. Stunning views and surrounding area with Kendal being less than a 20 minute car ride away. The dog exercise field which was fully fenced off was an absolute favourite of ours and our dog, he absolutely loved the freedom! During our stay we visited Grasmere, Lowther Castle, Kendal, Ambleside and Bowness on Windermere, all only a drive away. Thank you for a beautiful stay!

A lovely holiday in beautiful surroundings

Fletcher, Tracey - 23/07/2024

The views were beautiful overlooking the lake, but no one opposite to look in. Watching the ducks and lambs was lovely and even though we had some rain on and off we just went onto the couch to look out till it stopped. Kendal is a lovely town but we had a few rides out to places like Ambleside and further. It was recommended to us and id recommend it to anyone

3 wonderful nights

Patterson, Leah - 12/07/2024

5

I booked last minute as a late getaway for my partner, dog and I. Directions were spot on as Google maps can take you along narrow, gated roads. We were impressed with the size of the lodge and delighted with the view. The gated exercise field was a very welcome addition. Lots of information on the notice board about the area and a basket full of books and reading material in the lodge for nearby adventures. We were lucky enough to have good weather for the whole stay so spent lots of time exploring the lakes. Had it been colder the lodge is comfortable enough to spend a night relaxing on the decking overlooking the mere with a glass or two. I made a special request to Jen who was very quick in her response and very helpful. All in all, a great little place to spend a few nights and a great base for all kinds of exploring in the lakes.

Hidden Gem *****

Davey, Lisa - 28/06/2024

5

We had an excellent stay in 'The Nest', spotlessly clean and much more spacious that we expected. Comfortable and well equipped. Doors that open straight on to the Tarn with a wonderful seating area. It was good to have a secure gate on the entrance to the lodge, very well thought out and extremely pet friendly. Wonderful exercise field, bins and an area to wash off boots and the dogs. We were very grateful for the little accessories, poo bags, bowl and treats for the dogs. milk and kendal cake in the fridge, also tea, coffee and other bits and bobs. We even managed to pick up some fresh eggs. Excellent customer service and quick response to emails. The place is a hidden gem of peace and tranquility, the whole site is immaculate and we will definitely be returning. Thankyou to the owners and all the staff for providing such a wonderful place to visit. Definitely A******

Lovely restful location

Gritton, Ashley - 11/06/2024

The Coppice Lodge is in a lovely setting on the lake which is very peaceful - ideal for a quiet away from it all vacation. The Lodge itself is fully equipped with everything (and more) that you could want - I cannot think of anything else it needs. It was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and lovely shower. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Relaxing Littlemere

Crebo, Robert - 11/06/2024

4

Very nice stay at Littlemere lodges. We stayed in a semi detached lodge with a balcony overlooking a tarn (lake). The roads accessing the site are very narrow, but this is something very normal in Cumbria. It's quite a good location for Lake Windermere but quite a drive to the Northern Lakes. The lodge itself is well equipped with all kitchen appliances including a dishwasher. Also a washing machine provided with washing capsules which was very handy as one day we got drenched. The lodge has a woodburner which we didn't use but the heating worked well. The bathroom was lovely with a shower and a bath with jacuzzi options. I would say the bath has no handles making it very difficult to feel safe getting out. The balcony was fantastic for looking over the lake. The wildlife we saw was spectacular. 2 oyster catchers looking after their baby was so good to see. We saw sheep, lambs, badgers and a vixen and 6 cubs. Really enjoyed our stay
