Delightful

We really enjoyed our stay In the Den at Littlemere. The Lodge had everything needed for our stay, cleanliness was spot on, we had a beautiful position on the waters edge (we just needed better weather!!)The location was a little tricky but we used the directions sent to us which were invaluable. It would have been good to see a member of staff, but my query was answered swiftly by text message Excellent value for money. We look forward to our next visit 😀

Peace & quiet guaranteed

Welch, Anna - 07/06/2026

We have been coming here since 2021 , perfect lodges in a perfect location. Lodges are exceptionally clean & very well equipped with everything you need, even for your 4 legged friend and only a short drive to a supermarket. Littlemere is perfectly placed to visit many of the Lakes attractions without a long drive to get there. If you don't feel like driving there are many paths to go walking directly from site too which we've done many times and it never gets old or boring

Perfect Getaway

Allen, David - 06/06/2026

This is our second visit to Littlemere, having discovered it in a magazine article several years ago.The lodges are spacious, clean and equipped with everything you could need. The catering for dogs is amazing too with the paddock and poop bins on site. The peace and tranquility is good for the soul, we could sit by the lake for ever.

Perfect place to relax.

Lynas, Dennis - 26/05/2026

Overlooking a small lake with birds, foxes and farm animals it was a perfect location to chill out. It feels like you are in an isolated spot but towns and villages are close by with places like Windermere and Keswick easily reached. We particularly enjoyed Cartmel which is a lovely village with plenty of choice of places to eat.The lodge was comfortable and had everything you need especially kitchen equipment. During rainy weather sitting on the sofa looking out over the lake was lovely especially with the log burner lit.Highly recommend these lodges if you want a relaxing stay surrounded by beautiful landscape at a very reasonable cost.

Like returning to your own lodge.Everything is just like you would have left it. Plus you may notice small changes. In our case there was two brand new beautiful outdoor chairs on decking overlooking the mere. Just another fantastic stay so see you soon.

Relaxing Escape

Motley, Robert - 07/05/2026

The Lodges are fabulous, clean, comfortable and set in a peaceful area.I would recommend to anyone BUT, would rather keep it to ourselves.Easy access to Kendal, Windermere and the Lake District. Lots of walks and great places to eat.The location is well away from main roads and can be a bit tricky to find on the first visit, but we think that is one of its qualities.

A chilled, relaxing time whatever the weather.

Stephenson, Kaye - 28/04/2026

We love Littlemere! I go twice a year my neighbours 5 times! No matter the season and weather you can be out relaxing by the water in the sun reading, listening to the little lambs and watching them play. You can be in the lodge with the log fire blazing, feet up in the winter snow and still have an amazing and relaxed time. Kendal is a few mile away and they have a bus service that takes you to all the main spots like Grassmere (ginger bread anyone?) and Ambleside if you fancy the day out but dont want to drive. The lodges themselves are immaculate with everything you need, we just take our food. That also includes cat food for the farm cats, duck food and bird food cause they all come for visits! There are TVs, cards and games, theres even a set of binoculars to spot any dear or hares in the field opposite. A perfect spot to get away from it all.

We’ve been coming to Littlemere for about 8 years and can’t praise the owners enough. They go out of their way to ensure your holiday is comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. We’ve stayed in 4 of the lodges and all have been immaculately clean, well equipped with amazing views. It doesn’t matter what time of year you visit as the seasons each have their unique beauty. There’s a special sense of calm and tranquility which is rare to find these days.Looking forward to returning in May.
