This was our first stay and we will definitely be back. The site is very clean and tidy and nice and quiet. The owners and staff running it are very friendly and accommodating

Lovely place to stay, owners are friendly and helpful. The Pod is well equipped with everything you would need, there is also plenty of hot water. Only thing I would change is the hanging space into a shelving unit and add a pair of scissors I also enjoyed the fishing, fish are I excellent condition

Friendly owners/staff, nice flat pitch with water and hook up, clean facilities, would highly recommend staying here.

Had an excellent weekend stay an Janson, the site is lively and peaceful and the fishing was good. The staff are excellent and really helpful and friendly Would definitely go back again

Good fishing for the hubby

Jeff and Lin are extremely friendly and helpful just mention the staff in the tackle shop very efficient and helpful the facility’s are eg toilet blocks are extremely clean the quality of the fishing lakes are second to none the surrounding land and caravan pitches are very well maintained.

This site is obviously mainly set up for anglers. It is however a great little site for anyone. We used it as a 1 night stopover when travelling home to Devon from a break in Northumberland.Showers and toilets were good, cleaned daily. The dish wash up area was unfortunately rather wet due to rain and little overhead cover.We didn't find a grey waste water facility but could have no doubt poured it into the Elsan point. There was no one to meet us on arrival and although there is a phone number to call, the mobile reception is poor (certainly on EE).We would certainly use the site again if travelling in the area.

We have stayed in the Pods a number of times, Each time we feel we’ve had a refreshing break.It’s such a lovely location and very well maintained, it has an air of tranquility about it. From the point of arrival you can feel yourself relaxing. Their breakfasts (sandwiches) are great too. The pods are well equipped and comfortable. The fishing facilities are also first class (according to the o/h) If we need a few days away to unwind, this is the spot for us - even if there is no fishing, just sat on the decking watching the wildlife and recharging our batteries. We have been in all seasons, & even when it’s freezing, the pods are cosy. There are a number of great local pubs just a short drive from the location who do great beer and fab food. It’s a hidden jem!

Thoroughly enjoyed our touring caravan stay at Janson Fishery over the festive season. The site was quiet and it was great to have the various options for fishing and we had a very busy couple of afternoons on the caravan park lake catching various species.Nice powerful hot showers in the two toilets / showers on site for tourers to use. Didn’t get a chance to eat in the on-site cafe during our stay but would definitely try it out if we return. Plenty of food shopping and eating out options locally with Bingham and some other villages close by. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Durham Ox Inn. The glamping pods looked lovely so if you prefer a bit more by luxury they would be a great option. Just one thing that I would recommend as an improvement is to have a look at some anti slip strips on the decking outside of the toilets as they did get slippery when wet.Thanks to Linda and Jeff for providing a lovely site and a very pleasant stay.
